I have a Hobbyzone Delta Ray and through a small incident involving a pack of dogs I needed a new fuselage.
Ordered one from a shop that does mail order whose name is the same as what you do in a car when you set off in a hurry, (no not stall it)
I needed it within 24 hours as I work away Monday to Friday so if it didn't get to mine by that Friday I would have had to wait a week. Paid the extra and funny old thing it didn't come (ordered Wednesday night). Turns out it was part of their shadow stock so takes a few days to get from their other warehouse.
So, a week later I'm home again and it's here. Broken in 2 places and missing the wing tips that come with it. fking brilliant.

Well, Hobbyzone products are an Horizon Hobby brand.
The dealer obviously didn't have the stock, shadow stock my arse. The delay indicates the part actually came from Horizon in Germany.
I think the OP was referring to a Hobbyzone product , but ordering parts from another dealer, shall we say the name for the sake of any more confusion, i think it was Wheelspin Models? The dealer obviously didn't have the stock, shadow stock my arse. Out of interest the batteries I ordered recently for my Proboat Catamaran were also showing as shadow stock on the Wheelspin Models website, but did arrive in about 5 days.

My point was the retailer never had the stock. Once they had the initial order they had to order it themselves from the wholesaler, Horizon. Exactly the same situation with your catamaran, the batteries would have come from Horizon in Germany as the retailer cannot be bothered/afford to pay to stock the full range of spares.
Shadow stock is a load of bunkum.
May be getting towards the end to this. The offered to pick it up between 9 and 5 and send a new one. I work away Monday to Friday so not feasible so we've come to the agreement of them sending the missing bits and a free battery.
I'll see what turns up when I get home this weekend though.
So much for me originally ordering the bits I needed on 24 hr delivery to be flying again the next day. 3 weeks later...
