Received my Arocs today. Thanks to DPD's e-mail notification I was able to pop home for lunch and sign for delivery. Thanks Podie and Russy for organising.

Do apologise then. Only mentioned as thought I had done. No issues as they still arrived thanks for organising chaps.

Misses enjoyed building the crane & it worked properly

My Merc arrived safely today after a fail yesterday when driver tried to deliver to part time Police Station next door.

Came with last 4 colours needed to complete painting shell of my r/c Würth Capri. Can't put off the cutting out and masking off ...

Having had the feeling that the gear box wasn't right for a while I got the chassis (bags 3) completed which finishes the selectors. At this point I realise that yes, it's wrong.....that spare gear should be in the middle of it. It took an hour to unlink modules, find a way in and reassemble....multiple times due to more gears escaping.

Really sorry. Much appreciated for organising. It is a big box. It is also a big unopened box as Mrs Crash wants me to 'de-clutter' all my other Lego / RC cars / pushbikes / motorbike stuff before i start making more mess. I'm hopeful i will find time over the w/end!

Finished the crane which was a good build and I think they functions are ok. Started the Merc on Monday but limiting myself to how much I am doing every night. Have completed the chassis and the HIAB bit although I did strip the pipes off this and re-fitted as the operation wasn't brilliant and thought I may have pinched a pipe. Seems to be working better now so will start the cab tonight.

I built the FirePlane I got from you Russy. It was a nice little Sunday afternoon build. The kids loved playing with it too.

Not started the Merc yet, and the Crane has been taken off me till Christmas.

Built the fire plane Wednesday night and really enjoyed it. The Merc will have to wait until I get back from holiday. Thanks again for help with this Russy.

I think the above photos are explain why I didn't buy the truck this time, I get the feeling I'm just building a huge gearbox and it's only on the last instruction book you get to build anything "creative".

Looking forward to the F40 though smile

I was going to leave the crane until we moved house because I am not sure I have anywhere to put it at 600mm tall. But, the move has now been delayed until next year for various reasons and there is no way I can wait that long. Give it a couple of months for the evenings to draw in, and get the latest project motorbike sort of finished and it will be under way.

Roughly, bag 1 is the front wheels, 2 the gear box and stabilisers, 3 the rest wheels, 4 the crane, 5 the cab, 6 the load bed. It's only felt like one gear box. Also its very modular which makes leaving it much easier than some models.
