Childhood toy Can someone help

Hi guys

I grew up in SA in the 80s and 90s and every year a show called the design for living took place

I remember one year my parents bought me a toy that basically was a robot that stood on a plastic box with a plastic target on its chest

The gun used to magically shoot light and if the robot picked the light up it would fall over and pick itself up again . I remember lying on the floor with my brother often 10-15 feet away and shooting this toy over and over

Sorry I know this is a scale model section but I'd love to rekindle my childhood and see if I could track one down

Did u get this in the UK... I live here now
Does anyone recognise this toy.. I think it was rather advanced for its time but I'd love to get one again
