Steam in the garden

Had a test run with my steam loco last weekend

The layouts not finished, hence why the track isn't fastened down, but LGB track is sturdy enough to keep it all aligned without too much trouble.

The base is decking boards on 1 foot posts, not meant to be permanent for all time as I might want to change once I've had some running time but should be good enough for a few years.

Love it.

Would love a larger scale garden railway. Was tempted to do something with OO earlier this year. Maybe next year eh? Our garden is nowhere near flat though so would require groundwork to make it work properly.
