Looks great but £30+/month for a couple of years (no doubt) is a bit too much for my liking.

You would imagine FAQ#1 would be 'How many issues are there to complete the model?'. But that question doesn't appear anywhere on their FAQ page. Funny that...

Probably cheaper to buy a couple of rough old real De Ls and make a good un up frown

Not a fan of these massive part works, me

Another partwork company production... hmmm... whatever happened to the PHers building the last one? I think it was a super-spendy Aston Martin?

Can't recall seeing the finished articles (always my worry with partworks).

The "terms and conditions" is 99.99% of their website!

car looks cool enough but i cant see how anyone would sign up not knowing how many issues you have to buy , could be 100s for all we know

If other part works are anything to go by it probably will be hundreds. One week a body shell, the next a couple of screws...

Looks to be 100 issues if previous Eaglemoss offerings are to be taken as the norm.

It'll also be shocking. Probably. I would strongly suggest a search for Eaglemoss before subscribing and have a look at some of the threads where people have had issues.

Has anyone ever completed any of these offerings, as I don't recall ever seeing a finished article by anyone who managed to stay the course.

Some great public commetns on the Eaglemoss Facebook page re. customer service...

I've seen the DB5 built up, and considering the scale and price (c. £600) it's pretty crap (IMHO).

I've also seen the Deganostowhatever Mclaren MP4-23 and that's also unimpressive in terms of detail for scale.

I emailed them regarding the number of issues and got this response:

'This collection has an estimated 60 issues, however this may be subject to change.'

Think I'd enjoy building this but it's pretty hard to justify, especially as hot toys do a larger 1/6 scale model for around $700

In other words, it will be subject to change. Reading about some other model, they decided the remote control which was going to be the last 'part' would be split up into components too to keep the money rolling in. Mind you, the Aston looks good in some of those YouTube videos.

If you want a large scale, well detailed model I'd have thought one of the Pocher kits would be a far better choice.

So approx £480 for a model, providing they don't pull the plug after 20 issues because only a handful of people subscribed.

The fact it has lights all over the thing, even showing the LED display on the time circuits make it a very tempting model to build. I would be too impatient waiting for each issue to arrive though.
