Some fantastic cars and tracks on here particularly the Jim Clark Cortina. Brings back memories of having a set in the 70's.

Dont think the revell ones ran very well. Fine if you want a shelf queen if not Scalextric did a few versions of the MK1 which will run straight out of the box without having to tweak them

have recently got my kids into this!,

FOund these old cars at my mums - the db5 is from the mid 60's, a revell kit, needs tyres, and I cant seem to find any !!

These I think are pretty cool - they all need tyres and pinion gears etc...(and a couple of drivers heads!!)

I've got a few boxed sets in the garage not touched for years/decades. Once our baby boy is old enough they will be out - not sure our little girl will be into it but you never know.

Well perhaps if you afforded your daughter the same consideration as your son she might, rather than sticking her in
a gender barbie pigeonhole.

Of course he must be a terrible father for assuming his daughter might not be into racing model cars the way his sin might. While you're advising him on rehabilitating himself perhaps you could also point him in the direction of a supplier for neutrally coloured dungarees?
