Some of the high detail models look fantastic. It's just a shame they're too flimsy to race without damaging them.
Even the so called impact resistant model's wings, wipers and mirrors don't survive one crash.
There's a business in making replacement parts - so many of the genuine Scalextric packs are NLA.

I spent today racing a Slot.it group C Lancia in a team 6 hour endurance race. My first race representing my club and I'm glad to say that I (as the newbie) didn't hold the team back and we crossed the finish in first place, turning in 1944 laps.

Wow, this thread takes me back a few years! Some awesome collections on here, very envious.
I think my old "Track Busters" set (anyone remember this - it came with 2 Datsun pickups which had a flip-over mechanism and could run on the same track) is my in parents loft. Need to dig it out and set it up Just need to find a bit of space...
