Hi All,

Before I go out and buy, then make about 10 model buildings for a city scape I wondered in any of you lovely people had any lying around that I could borrow/hire from you for a day or two? It's a reasonably low budget shoot so I'm trying to save the client money wherever possible.

The scale is not that important as long as they all match with each other.

If not, any ideas where the best/most cost effective place to buy them is please?

Thanks!

Mutley

Unfortunately I'm unable to help, but I would ask if you're looking for a specific time? as you don't want a modern looking model if the shoot is for 1960's

Yes, good point maybe I should have said - era is not particularly important for this one - it's for a film pastiche so can be of any time.

Cheers!

Early medieval?

Classic Roman (or Greek)

1960s New York?

The London of Jack the Ripper?

I would guess that those who build model railway layouts would be best placed to know about 19th/20th century model buildings.

If you want a cityscape then you need to tap up Rod Stewart!

Unfortunately you'd have to go to his L.A. home though!

There's that massive layout in Germany too.
