That said, when I thought something was missing I've found it stuck to another piece somewhere in the box. Oops.
If you've emptied out the bags check them again, every-time I've thought I was missing a piece I've found it caught up in a corner of the bag. Hopefully you haven't just chucked all the bags in the bin MBBlat said:

Hopefully you haven't just chucked all the bags in the bin A missing piece is rare, but it does happen. My wife had a tiny piece missing from the WALL-E set, so he only had one eye for a while until it arrived. The only other trouble I've had is with the Unimog - one of the 15 long beams was snapped clean in half. Weird thing is the bag it was in was undamaged and so was the box!
There's a section you fill in on the LEGO website and they send you the new bits. Think it took 2 or 3 weeks.

The Wall-E set had a problem with the head being loose and swinging around. They do a fix for this that will take aorund 10 minutes. You can order this the same way. There's a section you fill in on the LEGO website and they send you the new bits. Think it took 2 or 3 weeks.
My replacement piece turned up on Monday so exactly one week after I requested it from Lego. It came alongside the most grovelling letter of apology I've ever read from a toy company, which although appreciated was not needed as I figure it's just one of those things that happens when you're putting together thousands of different sets with thousands of different pieces.
So yes, great service from Lego

Finally got round to starting my 3RS at the weekend, it's the 8th modern Technic model I've built in recent years, but the one I've been looking forward to the most.
AND THERE'S A SODDING PIECE MISSING FROM THE BOX!!!
Sod's law! Thankfully it was from Box 1, so I've managed to find the same piece from Box 4 and pinched that, and hopefully Lego will send the replacement before I reach Box 4.
In theory...
Same for me, but the missing piece from Box 1 is definitely nowhere to be seen. Worse still, the piece is out of stock on the Lego website, so who knows how long it will take to arrive.AND THERE'S A SODDING PIECE MISSING FROM THE BOX!!!

No doubt I will then subsequently find a different piece missing and have to go through the same process again in due course.
Very frustrating!

Many of you boys and girls made these sets up yet and have them on display? Would love to see a few pics... (Im hoping they aren't all sat in the loft for profit in 2020!)
Guilty as charged Did a tot up of loft sets (those I've remembered to make not of). Not far off the three figure mark :-o
I bought two GT3s though, one for display and one as a keeper (I do this quite a bit).

I've built 20 sets recently, many of them well over 2000 pieces so not the small sets.
I had one piece missing, which was an L shape for the seat in the Unimog. Came in about 3 weeks but wasn't out of stock sorry.
I've managed to use a piece from box 4 so I hoped that i'd be able to complete box 1 and then wait for the missing part to arrive, but it seems I've now got another missing piece which isn't used elsewhere in the set, so I'm at a total impasse until the replacements arrive.I had one piece missing, which was an L shape for the seat in the Unimog. Not really good enough for a £250 set.

Update - I'm an idiot! Apologies to Lego! Not really good enough for a £250 set.
I'd used the wrong part earlier in the build, which was why I was a piece short in box 1. The other missing piece was hiding in the bags, which I swear I'd carefully checked before disposing of them!
Anyway, it's a seriously impressive model, when built and, I think, worthy of £200-£250.
I didn't use the stickers when assembling first time, as I am going to sell this 'as new' and then donate the money to charity.

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but there appears to be an error on the picture on instruction 745, concerning the position of the door support on the driver's side.
The position of the key blue supporting pin changes between stage 744 and 745 then changes back again on instruction 746. Anyone else see this?

Still haven't made mine yet. Have been abroad for most of the month and not home until 1 September. Still need to order the Advent sets from Russy and would be interested in a group buy on the Disney castle set if anyone is up for it too?
