... Is it still possible to get on the out of stock GT3RS bandwagon?
..and when do we think they'd be available?

Last time I did business via PH it was Derestrictor providing me with a telly..!

If you add yourself to the table on the previous page you should be able to get in the bulk buy deal as long as you've been a PH member for long enough - 6 months I think. That said I dont know if there is a cut off date but you can only ask.

The organiser did say as an independent retailer they expected them at the begining of August, two months after Lego's launch, but with this QA issue it's probably back on the wait and see.

I can be patient, really I can...

More excited? That video confirms my thoughts that this is a disappointment - the idea was great but they've not executed it well.

After watching this video it makes me think that maybe the Bucket Excavator might be the better buy.

I have already said that the panel gaps look bad & having seen the bits that the fall off etc I can't help thinking that for £250.00 Lego could have done better.

Granted, the instruction book appears to be a work of art, however I can't help thinking that, as with R2D2, I will just not enjoy the 911.

At least with the Excavator I can scope up Smarties!!!!!!!

I've gone for the excavator, but not the car. Reason being the Excavator is an epic subject. Car kits in one guise or the other are common, beasties like the excavator not so.

In fact, I keep pondering at to whether I shall go for 2 , instead of just the one for my grandson, one for myself is veeery tempting!

You might want both for yourself, check out the B-model. Its an aggregate sorter that can take the output from the BWE conveyer and divide it into large and small bricks to dump into the 2 tipper trucks you will get.

Reviews have me questioning whether the 911 will be good set too. Will probably still go for it but it makes the Arcos & Unimog ones look even better value.

Having seen the B model. Am now certain that the Excavator is a far better buy than the 911.

I am planning on going to Billund in August so was going to pick up a Porsche there, but getting nervous seeing as the UK site sold out so quickly on day one and no sign of a return.

I have been watching this group buy since day 1 and have to have the Porsche I also don't want to get stuck having to buy one from a prospector at a hugely increased price. (Have you seen what they are fetching on ebay already!)

Can someone kindly add me to the group buy list? I hope it all works out and thatnsk to Russy and Podie for such a fab service.

Indeed. The more of it I see, the less convinced I am. To make sure it wasn't just personal opinion I watched a couple of reviews for models I already have, and like, and he gave them both higher praise than the Porsche.

Lego themselves are selling the 911 for £349.99 when next in stock...

Many reviews already from people who have built it. Most good with the odd one not liking it. Big thing is the large panel gap at the front.

Seems that people are saying that if the kit came in the camo livery rather than the dire orange the gaps wouldn't be so noticeable.

Still not sure whether to get the 911 or the Bucket Excavator.
