Oh damn I want that bucket excavator now, but with no where to store the monster I'll have to resist!

That bucket excavator looks excellent. I haven't been bothered about it until seeing those build pictures.

My Porsche is delayed somewhere in Hinckley, no idea from DPD whats happening with it at the moment.

I just wanted to echo the thanks to Russ & Podie for organising this. I don't think I've ever had so much Lego. I suspect I will be forever single but I'm not sure I care right now...

All I really need to do now is work out how to get the Mindstorms brain into the Porsche and beat Google to a self driving car!

Does anyone now whether these sets have fixed the gearbox sequence or do you still need to do that workaround?

My Mrs is not happy. She spends half her time keeping the kids away from my half built sets, and the 3 unopened boxes (tower crane, crawler crane, AROCS) in the snug, and now these turn up. I got a stern message with no kisses on the end. That means I'm in for a bking. My excuse of "It was cheap" was met with "I bet it fking wasn't.".

Remember those days when you got a bad school report and dreaded going home?

hehe

Lego issued a press release stating it was a deliberate error to make it smoother or something.

I think there is a guide on Youtube that shows how to turn it into a remote control car.

I'd like to repeat the thanks to Russy for doing this, an exceptional saving and very much appreciated.

Mine appears to be on it;s way to Southampton, which it has been doing since Saturday, so I think mine is being hand delivered by someone walking. smile Hopefully it'll turn up soon though, it's my birthday present (which is tomorrow)! biggrin

Your's was probably on the same truck as mine. I spoke to Russ this morning, and there has been a truck fire at DPD. He's busy sorting replacements at the moment, i'm sure they'll be in touch soonish with a new dispatch email.

Gazzarose is right, the mine truck is 1st 40 steps. My son wanted to crack on with the excavator itself as we've made 1 truck previously. But then he made this ( spins up pretty fast, photo is 90 degrees out too) whilst I was offering constructive criticism on Mrs Kenny's decorating. I know, I know, thin ice.

Seeing and reading the Porsche posts ( unique locked content!) I'm suffering from Lego regret, should've bought that set too....................................?!?!?!?

Still we're now here,

That's page 171 in the manual. As said previous 1st 46 are the mine truck.

No no no dont go panicking people with this colin! All the ones on the DPD Lorry have been sorted, I have mobile numbers and have spoke to them all!!

In case anybody else is wondering: DPD called me earlier with the bad news that there had been a big fire on one of their artics on Friday night - destroying all the parcels with it. Unfortunately we had a load of parcels on this particular trailer! So...today we have cross referenced the parcel numbers and several were PH orders!!! Anyway, I have spoken to all of the affected on the phone, so no need to worry.

If you face any other delays with your parcel, then I am afraid this is down to issues with DPD internally. Just keep an eye on the tracking and hopefully they'll sort it out.

Sorry! I just figured as he's another Hampshire resident, it was probably related to the same incident.

Well, as I didn't get a call from Russy, hopefully all is good and it'll arrive soon, hope the replacements for the guys that lost theirs get to you all soon too.

That looks fantastic. Sadly I won't be opening mine for the next 10-15 years as I'm saving it for when young Master Wooster is old enough to appreciate it.
