Is there much involved in swapping sides? I start my build tomorrow night and would prefer RHD
Its actually fairly straightforward - just swap the glove box & steering/shifters by mirroring the instructions. The gearbox is kept as per the instructions, but the yellow 4 tooth gears that connect to the shifter need to swap sides.
I didn't take any pictures during the build, but I can probably put together a brief guide as to how to do it, it might be a couple of day before I have time though.

I'm torn.... my Porsche is currently sitting in its box, unopened under the stairs. I really want to keep it that way as I'm sure it'll be worth a lot more than we paid for them in years to come....... But I reeeeeaaaaallllllyyyyyyyy wanna build it!! Oh first world problems!!!
Which is why I bought two I've just completed my 911 build, slamming home the fact I am now probably an AFOL.
I enjoyed box 1 the most, for me this is what technic should be about. I was very impressed with the design of the sequential shifter mechanism, I never experienced anything like this with my technic sets in the 90's!
I do really like the finished article but I feel like its really been built as a design model more than a functional, technical showpiece. Its a real shame that much of the drivetrain is hidden. The turning radius is woeful. I cant believe that the body doesn't separate from the chassis (I have found a mod that shows how to do this though). And after all that, its so big I don't know where i'm going to keep it, or how i'm going to cope when my 3y/o gets his hands on it...!
Thanks again to Russy, superb deal and a pleasure to do business with you. I look forward to the next group buy, Ideas Caterham, F40 successor ???

I found it difficult enough justifying the one so I doff my cap at you sir! That said, I think I am a certifiable AFOL. I have amassed probably 70 sets now, all stored and unbuilt.
That may seem ok, until you consider the average price of each is probably 3 figures, with plenty being £250ish.
The loft ceiling is starting to sag too...

What's worse is I'm considering ordering another bucket loader too for the B-build.

The 2x 911s and Claas that came in a big box from Russy has had quite an impact on my BrickPicker portfolio, LOL! It still amazes me that my collection is worth so much more than original purchase price. For us tho' (my wife & 5yr old daughter), we enjoy the builds.... the little one spent a few hrs with me on the 911, which was great! All our sets are built and displayed in one of the bedrooms and the boxes & manuals stored. AFOL status achieved, we think That said, I think I am a certifiable AFOL. This is a fantastic idea but can I ask how you mount them to the wall? Seriously I just put a self tapping screw straight into the wall and hang the Lego straight from it. I have had the Ferrari hanging up in that spot for nearly 5 years. The only problem is I need a feather duster on a long pole to clean it.

Don't get me wrong, I have two sons (5 and 11) who I have bought many MANY sets for and have had many happy hourse building together. My eldest son's collection in fact is pretty valuable, even though all built (and mixed up - ARGH!). He has pretty much the entire Indiana Jones series of sets for example (and Harry Potter) which are pretty rare now - oh, and a walking AT-AT
I've told him they will go to pay towards his first car, but he's insistent he will never sell any of it

Without sounding too much like a dodgy Carry On joke my preferred method is a big long screw! Fnaar!

Finally got round to starting my 3RS at the weekend, it's the 8th modern Technic model I've built in recent years, but the one I've been looking forward to the most.
AND THERE'S A SODDING PIECE MISSING FROM THE BOX!!!
Sod's law! Thankfully it was from Box 1, so I've managed to find the same piece from Box 4 and pinched that, and hopefully Lego will send the replacement before I reach Box 4.
In theory...
