Here's a thought - you can omit the snorkels on the sidepods and do the post Silverstone car, they spoil the lines of the car anyway
I could, but I think they add a bit more interest to the model, which is not exactly over-detailed to start with. I think I might replace the wing mirror stalks with wire, and put a red "little lens" at the back. Maybe if a decent set of belts is available I'll put some in too. Always great to see a model like that ^^
I think the headrest should only be on a Prost version from what I remember of building the Tamiya version, but let's not go mad.
You are right, even in his Ferrari days Prost always had a headrest that stuck out quite from under the airbox.I think the headrest should only be on a Prost version from what I remember of building the Tamiya version, but let's not go mad.
On this one, brake fluid removed all the red in about 30 seconds, and softened the white on the metal body. Most of it then came off with a bit of scraping with a credit card. I got bored with that and dipped it in Nitromors, which quickly removed the rest. The white on the plastic is good as new even after brake fluid, mr.muscle and modelstrip...

The paint stripper I use is what nitromors used to be. Good stuff strips paint off diecast cars in about 30secs.
Which is?I use this, assuming they haven't changed the recipe since I bought mine.

I realise that, what I meant is that whenever I've seen those particular F1 kits lately, they say Airfix on the box instead. Logical really as Airfix now do a series of 1/43 WRC kits.Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
