MMM... Sorry, did I hear model planes? Lego? might I be of some assistance here?
Special rates for the PH fraternity!

So you're wanting £339.99 for that? Someone's having a laugh I think.

I guess you know that there are rules against advertising of these forums?

yikes

How much! For something that vaguely resembles a plane!

I think I'm gonna start my own website, building models for people if that's the going rate for a bit of Lego!

Thanks dr gn. Happy if mods want to delete my post - I just thought it was on topic, as someone mentioned planes/lego/father and son activity. Sorry if it offended you, I didnt mention price or any link to a point of sale. Anyway its gone now, so you can put it down to me "having a laugh".

Thanks chris "vaguely resembles a plane" - tell you what - I'll delete it myself. Happy to explain the price if anyone's interested. But I cant really argue with your incisive opinion of something that has taken hundreds of hours of development.

THanks chris "vaguely resembles a plane" - tell you what - I'll delete it myself.
I apologise. If you are showing it as something you built for yourself, it is great. smile

Accepted. I was showing it for what it was - A Lego Eurofighter kit which I produce for myself and other people to enjoy. I suppose I could sell them for less than I pay for the bricks, take the ebay commission on the chin and treat the hours of part buying and packaging as some sort of charity work.

Really? So it's not like you've not been told about advertising like this before - and then denying you sell Lego models despite having a sales website?

A quick look at pretty much every aviation forum out there tells the same story, along with the same warnings and deleted posts.

If you can't shift enough of this stuff on merit, maybe something's wrong with your models and/or prices?

Give it a rest FFS.

Where did I deny that? I might have denied making a sales post - but I definitely sell Custom Lego kits - sometimes I just post pics for other peoples enjoyment. Have I done something to offend you? You seem awfully cross with someone who is just doing something a bit "arts and craftsy"? Please, tell me what I am doing to upset you so much. The main purpose of my tiny outfit is to teach my sons how to run a business, buying stock, R&D etc etc, but mainly... how much work it takes to actually earn money!

Looking back through your posts, you like, planes, you like Lego, you applaud the creativity of others...... Is it something I did in a former life?

You're very good at editing posts aren't you? But some you miss...

Its not really advertising as like I say - I have nothing for sale! - just treat it as a picture of my little hobby if you like. I like the planes, I build Lego models.
How come you have a website offering your Lego models for sale on your profile?

That post was before I edited the previous one.... - I'd delete the second one but now you've quoted it, there doesn't seem much point!

OK - you've caught me out on a technicality - when I have excess models - I sell em - You win - I'll just delete all my posts on this thread with pics of Lego models and then you don't have to worry about it any more.
