I am currently off work with the flu. As you can only watch so much day time tv I decided to start a new papercraft model. I fancied a break from all the motor cycles, so decided to have another crack at a model I have previously built... With a twist.
There were a couple of things I didn't like about the original, so I have decided to make modifications as I go. Armed only with a copy of PowerPoint, an ink jet printer and mild fever I have started.
See if you can guess what it is. i

These are a couple of the modifications so far.

(I do understand these are updates to an existing model, but it looked funny - modeling at light-speed!

It's not an update. It's a new model. Goes together really quick. There's no excuse for not making one yourself.

It looks awesome. We (kids and me) started ours yesterday - target is to finish it (or them) this weekend.

Having finished the new version of the falcon I thought I'd have a go at another model for the same site.

Not sure if I'm being thick here, but these are printable downloads, right? Where do you get them?

And any special requirements on paper thickness etc?

They are downloadable. All the sci-fi models are from this site

http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~sf-papercraft/sifi.htm...

I print them out on 160gsm card which is about £5 for 100 sheets from hobbycraft, the range etc..

I use a standard HP inkjet printer on high quality, so nothing special there either.

The models on that link really don't take too long. In fact I have already built another....

The only thing not on the site is the stand for the enterprise. I didn't like the one in the per so designed my own ( which I need to finish and paint)
