That's brilliant. Do you have any video of it with things in motion?

No I do not have any video. Perhaps I should try and film something.
I personally hate all the imperfections I can see in it. Next winter I will try and improve things. I am glad you liked the pictures, I enjoy looking at it as it takes me back in time smile

Looks amazing.

Can I ask how deep the board is? It's something I might like to have a go at in my shed.

I am glad it has given you a bit of inspiration. With me, looking at other models people had completed is what gave me my inspiration to give it ago. There is still a little work to do.

The board dimensions are
240cm long it started out as 30cm wide but I extended it to 40cm wide. 35mm deep.

The board sits on a frame so the wiring can run underneath and that in total runs to a 35mm depth

Amazing weathering and vegetation.
Having started to try a bit of weathering on my car models, it is a skill I greatly admire...

That is superb

I love it

Not sure what those biggish blue things are, not my bag wink but skill and talent shine out of the whole thing

Excellent!

That's fantastic. Great feeling of realism and the neglect which that era had (or felt like it had).

Always been a a fan of a 50, but I preferred the large logo style.

That is really nice. I love the abandoned tracks and weathering.

I really would love to have a go at building something similar but I don't think my skills would ever stretch that far!

I am thinking of getting a large logo at some point. When I get it weathered up I will post some pics up. Unfortunately my camera is hopeless at the moment....I need to invest in a new one

Go for it smile
It is trial and error. Like building/tuning cars.
Just get an old bit of track and a cheap wagon test stuff out and see what works and what does not.
If you need any advice just contact me.

A few more pics I have dug out. The quality is poor, I might see if I can get my friend with a decent camera to take some proper shots.
