I can find the Gelida Store (https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2310030)

Thats the correct store.
Are the deals only on the app, or store aswell?
If that is the correct store, that is NOT the one that was promoted on the other post by Eltawater!

The above linked Gelida Store (which is one of the two I found) has NO 7th anniversary promo deals at all.

Sorry my mistake, i misread that! Too early for me wink
Yes different one to the one Eltawater linked.

Yes the Gelida store i linked has no promo deals, thats why i was asking if its app only deal as i dont use the app.

Ive used that store a lot so will keep buying from them.

I think that storefront that is called 'Gelida Store' is part of the 'LepinBlocks' store line - you can tell by the two lego mini figures on the sides of the store name. They are the same. I have ordered from them and it was a very good experience (it was not from the Gelida one, though).

I tend to stick to H&H (https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1083115?spm=2114.10010108.0.0.msXxKU) which now has a 99% positive feedback rating.

Although I have noted there is another store that has opened that is trying to use H&H in their name but you can tell by the sheer lack of orders and feedback it is not the genuine H&H.

I've just tried to make my first purchase from the seller recommended above. I set up a new account and went through the order process until I hit send order, at which point my cards were declined. Both debit and credit cards. Has anybody else had the same issues when planing their first orders? They want proof of who I am, which I'm more than a little suspicious of sending!!

I've never had that problem.

I just use my Visa Debit card that I deposit money into the account as it is not a proper credit card, but it is recognized as one for international purchases.

Finally I received some missing pieces for my Star Wars Space Shuttle Tyridium UCS .... I managed to finished it but still missing a lot of flat pieces 2 x 1 in white color. Will contact the seller again. But hopefully we will getting there soon ...

Here are some pictures.

To answer a previous poster, it is not uncommon for AliExpress to ask for more details like copy of your passport and copy of your credit card, especially if you order from another country than your shipping country.

Question: I read on reddit dot com that Lepin was going to start using numbered bags (numbered in order of assembly) after a certain set and that this UCS Shuttle was going to be one of the ones that received that treatment.

Is this true?

Mine didn't have bags numbered in order of assembly.

I live in the US and when I made my first Lepin order recently (UCS R2) my bank were the ones that rejected it initially, that was with my Debit Card. I re-submitted the order with my credit-card and it went through OK. As I said thouhg, my issue was with the bank, not Ali-Express.

Also, this is the Gelida Store I got my R2 from, been in business for a couple of years, with very good feedback. I was impressed with them, no missing pieces, loads of spares (though this may be down to Lepin, not particularly the store checking part counts etc) very quick delivery.

I've ordered a Caterham from Aliexpress - my lad (& wife..) are lego nuts.
Will be interesting to see what the quality is like for less than £30.

Scraped in to the last hour of the sale for a Mini Cooper for £23.49 delivered.

Didn't manage to snatch a $1 coupon with coins, otherwise it would have been under £23.

Looking forward to the build, need to put some shelves up in the man-cave now...

Has anyone been hit with import duty etc. on these kits from China?

Yep. DHL is certainly the preferred courier there as they just charge you for the duty. Others will charge you the duty plus a handling charge.

The duty I don't mind **too** much, I mean obviously I'd rather not pay it but it's just one of those things you have to. The thing that annoys me is the "service charge" that Royal Mail,Fedex et al charge on top. Especially RM who send you a fking letter where you have to then pay online and a few days later you get your item. So it's sat for a week or so in their warehouse while DHL just do it "on the fly" and it gets from China to your door in less time than it would spend in RM's warehouse.

I would now rather pay DHL more than pay those rip-off merchants.

Depends on seller not courier. If seller declares a low price ($20) say,no import duty.
UK! Dont know about elswhere.
Ive had 9 sets all delivered by DHL.
Not once asked for Duty.

Now if seller marks full price down....Duty

You could wall mount it like I did -

Details are a few pages back.
That looks very clean!

I was thinking of mounting mine from the ceiling with fishing line, like model airplanes used to be.
How is that attached? I've got a smaller non-fake Lego Millennium Falcon sitting on my coffee table taking up room. Some of these Lepin models are quite tempting... Anyone got one of the Blockade Runners?
