Indeed, my view too, thinking maybe I should buy two of the genuine sets from now on as an investment, but wondering how much if at all Lepin has hit the 2nd hand market.

I agree, to an extent.

I am thinking of some sets, like the Wookie Gunship. It was $90 CDN before it was retired, Bela's version is only $34 including postage.

It is a small set and for that price was WAY overpriced!

I think if Lego makes some very outrageously priced sets like that, then the knock-offs are first.

Another one finished.
Helped by wife who had a hangover and has NO interest in Lepin/Lego or Star Wars. Strange woman! laugh
She enjoyed it strangely confused
Remember someone on the real Lego thread got 10225 set and hated it with a passion.
I think its another good display set myself.

Indeed, I enjoyed building R2, not sure why that bloke hated it so much (Fatboy69, or Fatbloke69, something like that). I thought it was really quite good and looks great when complete.

I've taken the plunge on the VW camper van as well as the GT3 RS (white) which looked mega. One question, how do you folks sort the bags out? it seems to be a bit of a random selection in each bag, worried the GT3 will have a bazillion bags in it!

Good grief, sort the bags!!! You don't sort anything, you do it the proper Lego way, and as we did as kids, which is have it all in a huge pile and then search for each piece, which is part of the fun and achievement smile

Finished my daughter's Millennium Falcon yesterday (Lepin 05007). Excellent kit, all the bits were there and an enjoyable build.

Re bag sorting, having done several Lepin kits now, there is actually a logic to the way they are bagged, with 2ers, 3ers and 4ers for example generally being in their own bags, oddly shaped 2ers in different bags from normal 2ers, all the thin flats together etc etc. Once you crack the code, it becomes a lot easier. That and tupperware!

Egg trays are great for separating the smaller bits...

Try that with teh UCS Falcon - building it that way would take months!! smile

I sorted into take-away containers (cheap from Amazon in pack of 50) and still ended up with more than a hundred of them - that's sorted!!

I'm intending to order the Medical Frigate once the item is actually available.

Annoying one of the stores I purchased a recent set from (Blockade runner) is no longer listing anything apart from spinners and fidget cubes and no responding to my messages so I assume I'll be tracking down the few missing bits from Bricklick...

Go through Gelida, my R2 came quickly with no hassle and all parts. However, as far as I'm aware, the Medical Frigate, like the Venator Class SD is a Lepin product (not Lego, just a rip-off of someone's MOC! LOL) and as such I think they guarantee all parts will be present (the gold emblem on the box represents this IIRC.

Yes it was my intention to purchase from Gelida again...although there were a few missing parts from my R2 purchase from there which are yet to be replaced...

I've just ordered the Caterham from Gelida.... and i feel like i've cheated! The problem is i've got so many unopened big original Lego things already i just couldn't justify another expensive box collecting dust. I'll bet this will get finished first though as i'm intrigued by what i'll get!

I ordered the Lepin modular Green Grocer from 'Lepinbrick Store' (one of the Gelida stores) on 11th April and it arrived in the In Post locker I selected on DHL's website on the evening of the 18th. Picked it up on the 19th, surprised at how small the box was, but everything was tightly packed inside and having taken all the bags out there are certainly plenty of pieces. I previously bought the Pet Shop from them and it's packaged in a similar way. Also has the same strong plastic smell but that has abated now after a few hours in a well ventilated room. The instruction manual has a 'Gelida Toys' sticker over the Lepin logo (easy to make out through the sticker) and it arrived without any duty to pay. The value on the waybill says $17.54.

just ordered the medical frigate as its 15% cash back via Quidco ......worked out at 10.02 back

Ordered from Gelida as the prices are the same across the board

Almost bit the bullet and bought the huge MOC set but as there is literally nowhere in my home that it could go it will have to wait for now...well that or it uses up the space my wife uses when she divorces me and leaves

How about hanging it from the celling like a model airplane.

My UCS AT-ST arrived on Friday, about 2 weeks after I ordered it from Gelida. Again, pretty good, with one minor problem. The set should have 5 axles of length "8", what I got were 5 axles of length "7". Unfortunately, I counted out the parts and mistook them for "8's", so accepted the order before I realised my error, this only came to light as I built it (I've only built the legs so far and it actually works with "7's", but when I come to do more, I imagine I'll properly need the "8's". So I think I'll hit E-Bay and just buy a few off there.

Other than that, still very happy with it for the price, looks like it'll be very tall when it's finished!

Editted to add - I've just checked through the instructions to see where the "8's" are used and it looks like the "7's" will actually do just as well, I think this set may have been released before Lego produced "7" length axles, as they will certainly be adequate for this task I think.
