The LEPIN "LEGO" for non sensitive types

I don't get this.
(maybe I won't as I don't collect lego)
Shirley the fun in finding rare lego is in, well you'no finding rare lego. I can get people buying retired sets that are no longer in production as realisticly you aren't finding a collector edition millennium falcon for £150 but giving out snide mini figures at a kids birthday party? You could give out normal mini figs that cost very little and the kids wouldn't care.
I mean I've collected Porsche stuff for a long, long time but I wouldn't be interested in some plastic cheap chinese tat model of a 911.
I've highlighted the point to note. If i wanted to collect it then i wouldn't buy the Lepin stuff but i don't, i want the enjoyment of building it. I know some people like to collect stuff and have no problem with that but for me the fun is in the building and displaying it. I couldn't warrant paying £300+ just to build something regardless of what it is but at less than a 3rd of the price it's worth messing around with. (maybe I won't as I don't collect lego)

Your point (kind of) makes mine, why have the lepin mini figure stuff when it isn't collectible? There's no enjoyment in building the mini figures so it's just having for having's sake.
It's for my son's 4th birthday, he and his friends will play with them! (And them promptly lose them, probably.)Millenium Falcon complete.
Ordered from Gelida 15th October, arrived 25th October.
Really enjoyed building. Had issues with the technic links on the legs but used a little bit of paper towel which worked well. When connecting larger flat pieces together it was difficult to stop them from warping.
I still cannot believe how big it is and have no idea where to put it. Wall mounting is out of the question as most of the top panels are loose and I'm not gluing any pieces.
Altogether 6 pieces were missing:
4 x missing 2x3 plate.
1 x missing 45slope 2x8.
1 x missing 6x3 plate left wedge plate.
Two types of brick received were alternate types:
Turntable 4 x 4 Square Base came, instead of Turntable 4 x 4 Locking Grooved Base.
Hinge Brick 2 x 2 Top Plate Thin, instead of Hinge Brick 1 x 2 Top Plate Thin.
The box...
The bags...
Building...
Completed...
Han solo figure on rear for sense of scale.
Leftover pieces...

Stay tuned, I am going to try wall mounting this weekend. I am hoping a few small mods and some bluetack will suffice. If it works I will post pics.Has anyone had any luck contacting the sellers about missing pieces?
Before I bought my Falcon, when I was reading the seller replies to their negative reviews regarding missing pieces and they were asking to be contacted to sort it out, so just wondering if anyone's been successful or just fobbed off?

So far the missing pieces for everyone on here can be bought on Bricklink for ~£10 so considering the cost of the knock-off kit it's not too bad. Before I bought my Falcon, when I was reading the seller replies to their negative reviews regarding missing pieces and they were asking to be contacted to sort it out, so just wondering if anyone's been successful or just fobbed off?
Woohoo ! Wall mounted my Lepin Falcon with no glue. I don't think I would be brave enough to try this with a real Lego Falcon at £2k+ but hey its only Lepin
Basically I removed and dismantled the underside turret and used the pieces to add some extra technic beams under the left side of the middle corridor to route a cord loop through. For the wall I drilled a small hole into the plaster/wooden stud and then screwed in a large screw with a large washer on the end to contain the cord loop. A hook would have stuck out from the wall too much and let the Falcon upper feet drift out from the wall. With this option all 7 feet are touching the wall nicely. It turns out the design is a little front heavy so the nose wants to angle down. I am fine with this.
Several of the upper segments are just dropped on with open ended technic axles so would easily fall off when vertical. I fixed this by using a longer axle from my collection and a technic bush. Taking off the underside to install the bush then refitting the bottom then top carefully. This can be very fiddly but doable.
The centre of the upper segments are all captured by the upper turret. However it is not a very close fit around the edges so I added some plates and wedges to create a better seal and tighter match.
The cockpit and corridor sections are also dropped on and can fall off easily so I modded them slightly. For the corridor section I removed the long smooth tiles and replaced with shorter tiles and some plates. Note, the thin wedge segment to the left in this pic is a NIGHTMARE. It falls off with a light breeze and is extremely fiddly to attach, especially after using the extended axle/bush mod to stop it falling off when vertical. After this is in place try very hard to never touch it again !
For the cockpit I removed the tiles and made the upper section connect directly onto the base and lock in with studs and an axle. I also added a 2x2 slope brick to secure the weak connecting section to the main hull. I reinforced the windscreen strut holders as well because they kept falling off.
As the lower turret is no longer getting attached I used the long technic beams to add strength, 2 in the original position and 2 nearby because that side is where the beams for the cord are attached.
Unfortunately I couldn't get good photos of the area I modded to accept the hanging cord because the Falcon is too heavy and fragile to flip upside down. I wanted to add extra beams underneath to move the cord away from the lower panels as the are fragile and would fall off it the cord was tensioned against them.
From underneath you can see the 2 technic studded beams stacked under the original studded beams with some plates to space them out. The dark gray beams from the lower turret are used here to add strength.
This pic is from the top. I added some 2x8 plates between the extra studded beams to stop them being pinched together. I also added some 5 hole black beams to reinforce this area from my collection.
I plan on adding some bluetack (couldn't find some today) in these 2 locations to stop them flapping as they just sit with gravity when horizontal. One at the front centre where the button is and two small spots at the back centre where the 1x1 wedges are.
Overall it works ok, but there is plenty of room for improvement if you are fussier than me. I took the basic decision that the lower turret is not visible from most viewing angles when on the wall so it was expendable. If you want to keep it attached then some big changes would need to be made to my method. When moving it I always picked it up using the middle techinc section when the upper turrent is removed. After fitting the turret pick it up from underneath in the middle.
In total I probably used about eight 4M cross alxes and bushes, four 5m technic beams and parts from the lower turret. If anyone doesn't understand what I did underneath for the cord loop I will try to make a similar section using my spares but its really not complicated.

I got in touch with them (Gelida) and they offered me or a discount off my next purchase, the cheapest quote I have had for the missing parts is £2.42 so rather than cause a fuss I'm just going to take the £1.50. I finally have the set, albeit a Lepin set but I'm extremly happy with it and don't want to tarnish any future dealings with Gelida! Before I bought my Falcon, when I was reading the seller replies to their negative reviews regarding missing pieces and they were asking to be contacted to sort it out, so just wondering if anyone's been successful or just fobbed off?
Snippit from Gelidas message...
"Could i return as compensation myself , then you buy the missing pieces of mini figure in your side , or you can ask discount in your next order before settle the payment , is it ok to you?? Please let me know your thought . Thank you for kindly understanding."
Finished!
The missing piece materialised stuck to the bottom of another brick, so all 4080 pieces present and correct. There were even a few spares.
I have added a Scarlet Witch figure; Mrs D-Angle has similar hair and dress sense, so it's a cheap way of getting a Lego figure of her. She'll get a kick out of that.
Overall I couldn't recommend it more. Considering I haven't built a set since I was 9, it was pretty straightforward, brick hunting being the only downside, which I can live with for a saving of 200 notes over the Lego one. If you have any loved ones who have a love of Disney, they'll definitely appreciate it.

Further update on my Lepin Porsche order from Dollhousebuilder:
After waiting 10 days from receiving the "invalid" UPS tracking number I contacted the seller and they replied asking if I could accept delivery with DHL Express. Replied advisng them this was fine, and received a message with a new DHL tracking number. Checked the tracking details on DHL's website this morning, and it is showing a package from Hong Kong to my town, so hoping it has now been sent. I only have 12 days left to raise a dispute!

Strange, I got my Falcon with them and UPS. The first number didn't track but they added a new one after 4 days and that was fine. After waiting 10 days from receiving the "invalid" UPS tracking number I contacted the seller and they replied asking if I could accept delivery with DHL Express. Next up from Lepin, it would seem, are UCS Slave 1 and the Eiffel Tower.
Pics went up earlier on a couple of FB pages who are usually well-informed about forthcoming Lepin products so it seems legit. Shipping from the factory by the end of the month, apparently.
I've got the Lego UCS Slave 1 and it's great kit to both build and display. Well worth a look.
