Just finished the Falcon. The thing is enormous. I need to put it somewhere, the Mrs is going to take a claw hammer to me/it if it dominates the dining table any longer rofl

Got a st load of parts left over though, things like wing sections etc so God knows if I've missed anything.

Have to admit, it was a struggle to keep motivation towards the end. Lots and lots of grey.

Im loving that green! (was expecting a more grass green like colour)

Anyone have any experience with decool quality?

That green colour might finally push me over the edge on getting the porker.

I've got the decool batpod, the quality is excellent IMO.

Wasn't really interested in the Porsche until I saw the white one with red wheels cool

Is it just me or are Lepin prices on Aliexpress startingt to climb? I wonder if the popularity and awareness of these sets are driving those prices up and if so, could we find Lepin sets increase in value on the 2nd hand market too?

Nope. It's the exchange rate. Brexit means we have to pay more for our Lego knock offs.

I've just ordered the green 911 by decool - will report back here on any QC issues if we're including all knock-off Lego in the thread title... ;-)

I'm a die-hard genuine AFOL, but £80 delivered (simple box, no instructions) and in a colour I actually like the look of rather than that horrendous orange (yes, I know it's orange for a reason) was too much to resist.

There was talk on a few of the Lepin FB groups last week of Lepin having announced that it would be hiking its prices by 10-15% - some guff about material costs. Far more likely is that they have realised just how much demand there is for retired UCS and similar sets and that they can get away with charging more....

Look out for Lele, which has set out its stall to take on Lepin in the big retired sets arena. I saw a picture in one of the groups earlier this week of its product range and it included all the big Star Wars sets Lepin has copied as well as the Red Five X Wing, which Lepin to date hasn't announced. A bit of competition may prove to be a good thing for us consumers!

Yeah, that was my thinking, and hopefully with this new firm coming along it'll keep knock off prices sensible. I don't buy the Brexit thing that someone posted above (though it may have been tongue in cheek), I'm sure I only recently heard of Lepin from this very thread after the pound had taken it's Brexit hit.

Now going to check aliexpress for Lele knock off Lego! biglaugh

The brexit thing was tongue in cheek, but as the value of the pound has fallen the prices of Lepin have gone up.

I thought it was, but sadly with some people you never know, they blame everything on Brexit it seems. beer It just seemed to me that the price had gone up quite a bit, they priced on Aliexpress in Dollars anyway aren't they (or were they priced in £££s?) Maybe now I'm stateside I saw the $$$ value for the first time and my tiny brain couldn't make the connection! LOL Do you guys in the UK see $$$ or £££?

my app shows prices in GBP, but its inevitable exchange rates will impact prices. Had the same thing with Hobbylink Japan. Prices have gone up 15% or so as the £ has gone down in value. I am waiting for a recovery before ordering anything else from overseas.

Indeed, it was probably a mixture of both then for me, seeing the price in ££ and now $$ and the hit on the exchange rate. thumbup

So, I'm going to order the UCS MF, can anyone recommend a reliable seller please? Also, as this is now going to be sent to the US, does anyoen foresee any issues (with Customs for example)?
Not sure if anyone else on here that's ordered these is in the US.
Thanks
Ash

So, is the R2-D2 on Aliexpress, I can't find it (that's a set my missus actually wants me to get! biglaugh).
Also, any thoughts on my post above for reliable aliexpress traders?

I don't think the Lele sets are available for purchase yet, so won't be on aliexpress.

As for buyers, treat it like you would ebay and look for traders with lots of positive feedback.

There's a good Facebook group "Lepin Facebook Group" you could join which has a sticky post on good/bad Aliexpress sellers.
Otherwise it's suggested you choose a seller who has blue diamond feedback (indicating they have made a large number of sales) and then read their feedback. I would also choose a seller with at least 98% positive feedback. But to add to the confusion it seems there are some sellers trading under different names as someone placed orders from two different sellers, but they arrived together on one box.

It's on there but appears pre-sale rather than available. Search for "Lepin 05043"

I've bought mine from "Dreamhouse" - https://www.aliexpress.com/store/2194042
I've yet to build the SSD or Slave one but the GT3 had nothing missing.
