I've not opened the boxes or anything yet, I'll wait for the boss to recover from me telling her I'm sticking a 49 inch model on the wall!

Quite jealous of you getting these in boxes, I know at the end of the day the boxes dont really matter and as I'm not buying these (I've ordered the UCS MF) with any intention of selling on or taking apart once built, it would still feel nice to have the box as well rather than just a bag of bits.

First time poster on these forums, but already been introduced to Lepin and have already ordered a UCS MF which is only going to be used for display alongside my original Lego X Wing,Tie Fighter and Slave 1.
More than happy to be ordering the MF as its no longer offered by Lego, and if they were to re-release (fingers crossed) I'd still buy that too but it seems that there is only a slim chance of that. Personally I dont have an issue with someone else producing sets that people dont want to spend £2-3k on.
I've never really understood those that buy this stuff to store in boxes in the loft. I've always thought of Lego as something which kids (big and small) enjoy building and that's the end of it really. The only people who seem to be up in arms about re-releases of sets are the so called investors.
Anyway, cant wait to get my MF, hopefully shipping sometime in early September...I might even be sad enough to build one on a live youtube stream or at the very least will film myself building it a bit like I did with my Slave 1 which can be seen below

Any of the others boxes I'll happily send if you cover costs, but at the end of the day personally I don't see the boxes as relevant to the enjoyment of the build.
I wish they'd number the bags!
I'm only going with Lepin for discontinued sets that command huge prices (UCS Falcon, SSD, UCS Death Star etc). I've spent (and continue to) many thousands with Lego and will remain loyal to the brand for everything else.
One big advantage with the Lepin's, is that I'm far more likely to build and display them, whereas most of my collection remains in the loft for 'investment' purposes. Which seems a crime in itself

Totally agree, if Lego still sell it then that is first choice. For Star Wars UCS that are retired some Lepin will do the job. In that spirit I just rolled the dice on a Falcon so fingers crossed After I make it I will post up a photo of it getting attacked by my genuine Lego DS1, SSD, Slave 1, Red 5, Tie Fighter and Sandcrawler !

It's always grated on me the whole culture of purchasing multiple copies of the limited edition sets purely for 'investment' purposes then holding them for resale, effectively limiting supply and thus helping push the price up.
"I've got more spending power than you so I will buy loads and then if you want one you will have to buy one from me, but for more than it would have cost if you had been able to buy one direct in the first place".
I would absolutely love a UCS Millenium Falcon. I want one to enjoy building and then proudly display, not leave in it's original cellophane tucked away in the loft because it's worth too much money to risk opening. I would happily pay a few hundred £ for one. But not the £2k+ these 'collectors/speculators' are asking.
It would be great if those sets could be officially re-issued, increase supply and hopefully devalue those sets in circulation enough that they could find their way into the hands of people who actually want to enjoy them. If that were to happen I'd be at the front of the queue to buy one. But that's just not likely

LEGO book at the top. Lepin one is ok, its massively condensed with each page having several steps, where the LEGO one is a little long winded. Absolutely nothing wrong with the Lepin one - decent print and in colour.
What amazes me here is that the Lepin instructions are much closer to how I remember Technic instructions from back in the mid 90s- to the point where I'd have said the Lepin/Lego label had been flipped in your picture.I also think Lepin would be a cheaper way to get a lot of the parts to build something like this.

A huge Venator Class Star Destroyer, I'd love that, there are loads of huge UCS Star Wars MOCs on there too.

Funny how they've changed "Star Wars" to "Star Wnrs" but just used the Porsche name and logo as-is.
I wonder if the Porsche licensing people have seen that, knowing the hoops we have to jump through at work to get anything through the Porsche approval process.
Putting morality aside though, I am VERY tempted by the 911 kit!

Chinese courts have denied incredibly obvious car related claims before, and im guessing porsche doesnt care THAT much. Star wars on the other hand, is now disney owned.. It is a brave man that taunts Disney's legal department.I wonder if the Porsche licensing people have seen that, knowing the hoops we have to jump through at work to get anything through the Porsche approval process.

[quote=_MIKE_]I'm getting closer to finishing cafe corner, and have to say it's been more enjoyable to build than the green grocer. Touch wood nothing missing so far me will start on the Porsche in a day or so.

Will you be doing the star destroyer after the porsche?
Im kind of itching for a BIG ship to put on display

For anyone else that's ordered from Susentoys - have you had any news (or deliveries?)
My DHL tracking number comes up as 'not found' on the DHL site, which is a tad concerning. Have sent the seller a message, but no response as yet?
same here BUT the delivery note does say "Tracking information is updated within 3-7 days" so I am giving it a few days before I panicMy DHL tracking number comes up as 'not found' on the DHL site, which is a tad concerning. Have sent the seller a message, but no response as yet?
Yes I will build the SSD after the Porsche so I would imagine sometime next week I'll make a start. I do think I'll superglue it together though due to the fact my modular buildings are where it was going to go, so the only other option is to hang it up somewhere as a suprise for the boss who I'm sure will detest it. Oh well....

I am in the same boat with SuSenGo Toys. They were one of the few sellers that would ship in a plastic box instead of a bubble bag. My DHL tracking number comes up as 'not found' on the DHL site, which is a tad concerning. Have sent the seller a message, but no response as yet?
