Does anyone know where i can find the LEPIN UCS Millennium Falcon instrucion book online?

Thank you
I used the Lego version when building mine, which worked fine. The Lepin one has a couple of mistakes.

I've completed Slave 1.

A few minor issues but nothing to stop it being built.

1) 8 Of the bricks were a brighter shade of red (about £3 to replace if I wanted to)
2) One of the 4x1 flat dark green pieces was missing, there was a spare black piece though so I used it instead
3) I had to swap one of the 14x2 flat dark black pieces for dark grey and one of the 12x2 flat dark grey pieces for black. Totally hidden though so no big deal.
4) I'm not sure if I used a wrong one of the 4x2 flat dark grey pieces earlier in the build but the last one left was a "technic" one with the two holes in rather than the normal piece. Again totally hidden.

All in I'm happy, the clutch on the normal bricks is fine although that on the axles is more variable than real lego. If it was for me I'd swap the bright red bricks and get some proper Lego stickers but only because of the "information" panel saying "STAR WNRS".

Got the last of my eight replacement bricks this morning. Not had any missing parts so far.

Oh and my Falcon came this morning. Marked $34 too, Royal mail almost got a £8 handling charge out me. They must have been sleeping.

There weren't any *missing*, just a few the wrong colour (although I'm not 100% sure with one I didn't use the wrong colour in the wrong place). If yours is the same though you won't find out until the end, its one of the last few instructions.

Someone else suggested that the parts were hand picked. The black and (dark) green is *very* close in colour, I wondered if someone maybe just put in an extra black rather than a dark green. Or I fked up and used a green instead of a black earlier! smile

Sorry I mean no missing parts so far but I did have the eight big parts in neon orange that I replaced.

Is this normal chaps ? Popped a order in at Aliexpress (Toys Factory) for the Simpsons house last Thursday. Order was processed right away but since there it has just sat there Awaiting Shipment.

I did email the seller on Sat and got this reply " Today is the weekend, we rest, we work day to send you"

Is this normal for Aliexpress ?? My first two orders (Slave 1 and Falcon) shipped the day after I popped the order in.

Thanks.

Yes, it's entirely normal. Sometimes its because they don't have stock. Sometimes they're waiting for a big enough consignment to book the courier pick up. Sometimes they're just not working at the weekend! wink

I was wondering about this as well. I was wondering if, perhaps, the seller is waiting for confirmation from Aliexpress the order was properly paid (not a stolen credit card number, for instance).

If they have to "front" the merchandise and then do not get paid until after the buyer confirms they have the order it is quite the financial responsibility (can you imagine any businesses in the West willing to do this?). I can imagine a lot of credit card fraud with this site.

Just an idea.

I am still waiting on the order to ship that I put in on the 13th, Six days ago. The seller first told me they don't ship over weekends then about 20 mins ago I got a msg saying

"Every thing is ok.Because of Chinese traditional new year, many courier companies have a holiday, so all the goods will be delayed, hope you can understand"

Now does that mean till after the Chinese new year ? So they are not shipping till the 2nd of feb ? The order runs out in 4 days and it will auto cancel so we shall wait and see.

Hey grant!

You ordered it from Toys Factory correct? I ordered from them an UCS Slave 1 on the 12th, and earlier today asked them about any potential delays due to the Chinese new year. Got pretty much the same response you had at about the same time:

"Because of Chinese traditional new year, many courier companies have a holiday, so all the goods will be delayed, hope you can understand.
we will ship out 1-2 days"

It seems to me that they'll ship it out until Friday, so no delays should happen i hope... Unless DHL doesn't work next week too :/

Just finished the cafe corner. I have to say it's the first large scale blocks model I've made really. Had made a few elves kits for / with my daughter but nothing in this scale. It's not massive in terms of size, but it's certainly taken me a large number of hours to make, which has been fantastic.

I've not been in a rush so just done some each evening, I found instructions good, and quality of the bricks couldn't be higher really. Only a couple of odd missing pieces, and two deformed bricks.

I have ordered a couple of other buildings - I tried to get the orders in before Chinese New Year but I fear they've already been a bit held up. Can't wait to get them and start another build, it's been so enjoyable.u

Hi all, sorry if this has already been asked (too many pages in this thread to check) but is there a sensible approach to ordering from aliexpress? Thinking to get the big excavator with motors by 5th march.

From the sound of it on reviews I'd expect the motors and pneumatics to be ropey but I assume you could probably replace those with genuine Lego bits for not *too* much.

I've got a few orders placed myself (H&H, Beautiful Females World (minifigures, not sure about the store name's relation to the product sold …) and Delala Blocks) and even on (UCS Falcon) from H&H that I have a DHL tracking code for has been sitting waiting to move for a day - I have had more than a few orders from H&H so I am confident it is not a fake tracking number but even their usual quick message response has been very slow this week). Perhaps they have started to celebrate early?

Order from the sellers with the best reviews and feedback - just like Ebay, really. Check the shipping method and time quoted. DHL will only take a week (or less!), E-Packet is pretty speedy too but closer to a week to 2 weeks and then sea turtle with a month of waiting (or it seems a month for "Air China" should be the speed of strapping the package to a sea turtle …).

Some sellers include the price of the goods and shipping together and some put shipping separately so just look at the listing. The more you look at the easier it will become to find what you are looking for.

Use the App for small discounts. When in the App, find the "coins" daily thingy, and do it to collect other discount vouchers. (300 coins = $3 off an order of $25 or more.) Also, why not look at the Freebie bit, and the flash deals often have small sets that would be perfect for kids to build, like a roadsweeper or small pirate ship. I have heard of bigger sets featuring, but not seen any myself.

When searching, you have the option to sort in order of "number of orders" to find out who sells a few. You should now have it narrowed down to about 3 listings with reasonable number of orders and good price. I then look for the retailer with the best and most ratings, which can be found in each listing too.

Then order, and forget about it for a couple of weeks, until a nice parcel turns up. Then explain to the wife.

Some things I've noticed from Ali orders:

Sometimes the sellers ship the item, but don't mark it as dispatched until they have a tracking number that works in the UK (i.e.: a Royal Mail one), I guess this is to make it easier.

Sometimes the sellers ship a bunch of orders, for different people, at the same time, to a place with cheaper postage and then split them out from there. For example, one seller sent a bunch of Lepin to a distribution company in Uxbridge, and then shipped all the outstanding UK orders from there. So I got a Royal Mail tracking number at the point it was shipped from Uxbridge. I guess its cheaper to do it in bulk like that? Margins can't be great on these things.

So - just because your order isn't marked as dispatched or you don't have a tracking number doesn't mean it isn't moving along the process.

I do with the sellers on Ali would be more transparent about the process though.
