New job and some disposable income, also now in hotel a few nights a week. Bought the Walking AT-AT as a first model to do in hotel. Think I will wait for it to arrive and then decide on methods of transport smile

Will post progress when it arrives

Thank you for the awesome detailed review!

Have you checked with the original Lego instructions online for the Tantive IV to see if the engine module section is the same construction as the original's?

http://lego.brickinstructions.com/lego_instruction...

Are the engines together sturdily now or will they … destruct, without much effort, or ? (I was thinking of getting this for my daughter but if it will not hold together as she "flies" it around it may not be one to get her.)
I have the original Lego version of this and seem to recall that it's also prone to have bits fall off when trying to assemble it. Many of the older Lego models are like this, the UCS B Wing is a similar model that looks great when made, just don't touch it or many pieces will explode off in random directions!
^ This, pretty much! Each individual engine module is strong, the trouble is they're heavy and only held on by eight studs each, so tend to fall off. It's not really suitable as a toy unless you use a lot of superglue, as bits will fall off if you just look at it, let alone if your daughter wants to re-enact the opening scene of A New Hope....

Actually on that subject it's worth pointing out the size of it means it's probably not ideal for play - it's just under two feet long, and is pretty heavy. Tie Fighter is much smaller, lighter and significantly less fragile so that might be worth considering, or perhaps an X-Wing?

Just ordered the VW Camper from DreamHouse. How long does it typically take fro them to ship? It's been processing a couple of days now.

If it's decent quality I can see me spending a small fortune.

They should be back now, although they seem to be a bit slow ramping back up...

Does Lepin still exist? As I see from that picture above that the Lepin logo on that manual has been stickered over. I received a Lepin Republic Gunshop a couple of weeks ago and that had the Lepin logo covered over with the same sticker and the company name on the sticker wasn't the name of the seller.
Could this be related to the legal action being taken by Lego in China? and do we need to rename the thread:-)

I have bought about nine sets in the last month and that's the first time I have seen that. Think it's just incase it's opened by customs.

One of the Lepin sets I bought had the same sticker over the Lepin logo on the instructions. That was delivered November last year.

Still alive and kicking - the sticker is to circumvent difficulties in exporting to certain jurisdictions and having goods seized by customers, I gather....

I'm just about to commence work on the GT3 I got for Christmas (Lepin style knock-off). I've heard that one of the steps in the instructions is incorrect - anyone know if this is correct?

It's generally better to follow the Lego instructions, they are all available digitally from their website. Not sure for the GT3 but the Falcon had a couple of differences from the official instructions.

I had ordered some mini figures a while ago (Jan. 14) from Store name: Yiwu Fente E - Commerce Co Store. I looked at the tracking information and a message comes up stating, "Order has been Cancelled" (Jan. 28).

So I message them asking what gives.

I get the response back stating it was "returned by the customs".

I then asked if it was Canada Customs or China Customs and the reason why.

The only response I got was, "If you need him I'll send it again".

So, I am not sure why it would have been returned and who returned it. (not to mention why the seller would not have messaged me to state it was returned … (hoping to let it go over the time limit so I can't get the money back?))

If the president of Lego China cannot tell a fake from a genuine mini figure certainly Customs (of any country) can't if there is no identifying documentation stating they are Brand X.

Green grocer finished. The number of hours it takes to make these is great (although I don't hurry,I'm watching tv at the same time). Makes it good value for money.

Next up is the emporium.
