So apparently it's going to be called "The Grand Tour".

And they'll be presenting it from a mobile tent.

That's odd, according to the Beeb's web site they're still calling it Top Gear? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03t1g3g

Personally, I think some of the suggestions made on Twitter were much better. This new name just feels a bit ... meh. Considering time has been spent choosing a name, was this the best idea?! Anyway, looking forward to the new show and the new Top Gear too!

Im sure the fact it abbreviates to GT instead of TG is as deliberate as the damp squib level name. But fk it, it could be called "3 blokes chatting cod st to each other for an hour every sunday" and I'd still watch it.

By the sounds of his Telegraph column, I think many names got kicked back by the lawyers.

Silly name, but I like the concept of different places to deliver the show from each week. It really needs some car reference in there "Not Top Gear - The Grand Tour"

I was watching an old episode last night and then saw the trailer for the new BBC version.

It really was only about those 3 being massive idiots with some cars involved. The cars did come second.

The BBC version looks ste. The Amazon version will hopefully be more 'switch your brain off' nonsence for an hour which is what I want.

Will see how good it is. I don't watch any other motoring tv show. Fifth Gear is painful

Crap title is crap.

Can they be sued on a look and feel of the original programme format?

I like aspects of fifth gear but it clearly lacks the budget of Top Gear etc....

What ever happened to that car show with Quentin Wilson and Jodie Kidd, the studio stuff was painful but the features I thought were quite good.

Quite like the idea that they're going to do each show in a different country. For all the grief they've had for not coming up with new ideas over the last however many years, that seems to be at least one new idea ahead of their replacements.
