Hi all,
Im midway through building my 1/8th scale Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, so i thought id post some pictures of the build progress.
Pocher models are recognised as some of the most complex and detailed automobile kits ever made. Brand new from Pocher is this stunning 1:8 scale Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4. Weighing an incredible 7.3kg, the body is made of premium die-cast metal and comes ready painted.

It looks like you forgot to paint the engine & suspension. Mine was done using Tamiya rattle cans plus a pre-mixed wash.

I built a sample one at work. If you can, use double the amount of double sided tape on the screens as eventually they start to unstick at the top.
Also when you get the X brace on top of the engine, it looks like the engine is in wonky, this is correct, it is offset to make room for the prop shaft running down the side of the block.
Use all the weights in the doors, makes them rise more naturally. Only other fiddly part I remember was the hinges for the bonnet/boot, you need a short screwdriver and be very careful to not scratch the paint!

I got mine for £299 from Jadlam Racing. Think they are £309 now, but still nowhere near the £549 Pocher quote on their website
and the matt black coupe was even cheaper;but why oh why is Pocher so wedded to Lamborghini?
Surely if they produced a variety of interesting 1/8th scale cars (there are other makes
),there would be a bigger market for them over yet another Lamborghini variation each time?

They've done a Ferrari F40 in the past but unlikely to be repeated but why oh why is Pocher so wedded to Lamborghini?

I thought the Ducati was a much more enjoyable build than the Lambo, lots more metal parts, working suspension, floating discs, metal chain etc. The only downside is lots of the detail is hidden, you build up all the intake manifold with throttle bodies, injectors, ECUs etc, but it all disappears once the fuel tank and fairings are in place. But at the larger scale all the parts are much more realistic with less compromises for moulding.

The Jadlam offers are great value for a decent kit - they do need to make other variants though as mentioned. I have the Testarossa and need to transkit it up and there is talk of the Merc Gullwing being made (from eaglemoss kit perhaps)...but they should do more classics imo. Countach, '89 911 Turbo, Diablo, E-Type, 959, XJ220 etc...and they should definitly re-release the F40...they are close to £1k on eBay!

/\ This.BUT the way to buy an F40 is to find somebody selling a ready made;
dismantle it and then build it to your standard.
Yesterday I saw an F40 and a Testarossa sell for £200 the pair!

I built a Pocher F40 when they first came out. A few years later, I decided that I'd have a go at building another, but with an Autograph transkit. By then, both had been discontinued, but I managed to find them on eBay at a little less than the original retail price. OZ limited edition transkit, and a sealed F40.
I never got around to building it, they have sat in their boxes for quite a few years.
Seeing this thread, I had a look to see how much they are selling for now. I was pleasantly surprised...
