Been tempted by the Block Fiesta for a while now, never actually got round to getting one though. Very good effort by IXO.

Edit to add a quick picture of my modest collection of 1:43s.

Mostly old partwork stuff, but a couple of nice ones in there.

Finally managed to pick up a Fittipaldi Lotus 72 smile.

Also recently saw a spark W196 Streamliner (Karl Kling from the 1954 French gp)
The detail really impressed me (The driver figure sculpt and the wire wheels)
Crappy pic:

I had a look at it in Modelzone on Saturday. It does look good and I probably will get it to add to my Vauxhall/Cleland BTCC collection. I do wish they'd copied the livery from the original though and not the replica that Jim Pocklington has built, even if that is the car it's modelled on. I think DS Models are going to be doing some conversions on it with the 1990 and 91 cars.

Planning on giving the cabinets a good dust tomorrow, so will get some photos of my collection up. smile

His car has a side exit exhaust though?

They ran side exit exhausts until RML took over in 1994. Basically they've put his livery on a Cavalier roadcar model. I'll still get one at some point, his 1989 Astra is due in May.

Otto Models so it is Resin and not Die-cast,limited to 2500 examples and they all sold out. I picked it up for £60 at a toy fair yesterday managed to get £10 knocked off. The paint finish is like treacle and the interior details are stunning. I would personally grab one a.s.a.p as i can see this heading the same way as the E39 M5 Otto released, they fetch £100 + now and they retailed at £50 if you pre ordered. There is a few M3's on eBay starting at around £70 including shipping. This could be a potential bargain.

You done well on the price.

I actually held one at the AUTOSPORT 2013 show. one of the stands had that very model. He wanted £80. Considering doors, boot and engine bay do not open i thought it was pricey. They had an Rs4 B5, Rs2, R32 and Megane RR that were very nice too but again silly money i thought (£100+)

£80, not worth it IMO. Some Otto models are not meeting the reserve prices on eBa eg; Audi S8, one only fetched £38 on Sunday.

Finally got round to cleaning and reorganising my Detolf. The lighting isn't great, so they're a bit grainy.

Shelf 1: A mix of everything. WTCC, BTCC, Le Mans, V8s.

Shelf 2: V8s and BTCC cars

Shelf 3: DTM cars, plus a V8, a BTCC, a WTCC and a Porsche Grand-Am car

Shelf 4: Rally cars

I finished my Revell 1/144 Antonov 124 recently, and stuck it on a stand I made from a gash bit of wood in the garage. It was a good, and large kit, but as usual with kits that size there were obvious gaps at the joins in the wing-roots and the fuselage. I'd recommend that if someone was to make the kit with all the doors closed like mine then don't fit the nicely detailed cargo deck, as that was what caused the poor fitting I suffered at the bottom of the fuselage.

Overall though a good kit; not my best effort but it's been some time since I've done kits with any succession so I'm almost learning it all again.

Thought i would post up a few pics of 2 new models i treated myself to the other day.

A Black 1:18 scale E30 M3 taking my collection to 9 M3's and a 1:18 scale Alfa Romeo 155 DTM racer. No.7 Alfa driven by Nannini. I owned the exact race car as a Tamiya RC car years ago. Also thought i would add a few pics of my two NSX's. Enjoy.

Loving the cars Zorba.

I have the Tamiya Alfa in a 1/24th scale kit. It's good but not as good as yours. The detailing on your kits are superb.

The M3's are stunning as are the pair of NSX's.

However......

That photo of Senna at Imola - seen it many times & even now nearly 19 years after we lost the great man it still haunts me.

It's the eyes - Senna looks pained. Almost as though he didn't want to be in the car which, with the benefit of hindsight, he shouldn't have been.

Ayrton should have gone fishing with the Prof as Sid wanted.

The red one is. Bought it from the model shop next to Snetterton during the 1 hour lunch break we had on a track day i was at about about 2 years ago.

The white one is a fujimi model kit you have to build.
