I had one like that, (maybe a Polistil), in giffer beige when I was a nipper.

Of course being that age, I didn't look after it but it was one of my favourites.

I picked it up at the car booty on the weekend, I don't think it's ever been out of the box.

Great places to pick up models if you're prepared to sift through the rubbish.

I also picked this Stag up. smile

Finished this prototype of Victory at last - about a year's full time work - just waiting for the figurehead. Scale is 1:64th and is fully detailed inside as well as out. (We can now start renovating our rooms!)

Wonderful level of detail there Chris, even more impressive given it's all built from scratch.

Fantastic model but I wouldn't fancy dusting it, you'll need a large display case for it.

I use an air line attached to a compressor to clean it off - anyway, dusting it not really my problem, we drive it all the way to Italy next month, as it is too big for a shipping crate and too heavy for a glass display case (wouldn't fit through the doors!) - at least for the journey there. It is a prototype model for a new kit that I designed, so a 'one off' - have months of PC based work to do the plans, drawings and instructions on how to build it for the customers to understand now..

Awesome work cool

As a side note, I have a shirt with a very similar pattern to your carpet!

yikes

In my defence, I will say that carpet isn't really ours - we haven't long moved in and the house was bought from an old couple, but couldn't change the flooring until I finished this model.....so it's soon to be replaced with oak flooring..

Before you do that, you need to make a model of it to see what it'll look like...hehe

I was going to suggest changing the carpet but thought I'd better not. It does need changing though! smile

Well, usually, when we buy a house, I spend half my yearly wages on doing it up - but this time I put my foot down - I want my car (Tamora - sold mine before we moved to Italy, and have promised myself another since coming back.)before renovating our house first, for once! Plus, I had no choice but to make this model on the dining room table, so trying to tear up the floor while I was trying to work would have been a nightmare...

Excuses! Seriously though, that is a fantastic model, well done.
