I dug out my old tin box of model cars, apologies for iffy photography

Mixed bag - front row Merc 330SL, Mini Clubman, Mustang Mach 1; back Datsun 240Z, Jag XJR9 (free with a can of GTX), Lotus Elite, BMW CSL (Solido white metal kit)

Shell collection - Ferrari Monza and Superamerica

Ford 40-RV (aka GT40) and Alfa 33 Tipo LM. I've been told GT40 is a rare colour variant, but I'm not convinced.

Scruffy Matchboxes - Wildcat Dragster (repainted, badly), Racing Mini, Porsche Carrera 6, Boss Mustang

Matchbox - petrol station specials: Countach, Lotus 7, Citroen SM, Maserati Bora

more petrol station giveaways - Siva Spyder, Alfa Romeo Carabo, Ford Capri, Datsun 126X

That Ford 40-RV (aka GT-40) in dayglo is indeed a rare colour. I've only ever seen them in the standard silver with red stripes under the doors - which usually turned messy from the adhesive, and fell off.

That captures the spirit of the Routematser very well. I used to live in Ealing so the 207 was my local bus!

Similar reasons as to why I bought it, my uncle was a conductor and I used to spend lots of time on that bus as a kid

Elite or Basic?

Elite price is, frankly, nuts.

Love the model of the Granada - where did it come from?

The LaFerrari was just under £50.

The Granada Estate is from Best of Show (BoS) - not a well-known model manufacturer as far as I am aware. Quality is fairly decent, it's a sealed model though so the doors/bonnet etc don't open.

It's a left-hand drive model but i've put UK-style plates on it.

Got me looking.

This is the Otto one, looks very similar to BoS

Clicky

There's a 1/43 one here but it's expensive IMO.

That is the BoS Granada, Otto have never released a model of a Granada.

That said, I have heard that the BoS stuff is actually produced by Otto for the German retailer behind BoS. Don't know how true that is though.

Thanks, that's an interesting choice, not heard of them before.

Otto seem to have a few different names under their wing, GT Spirit (mostly Porsche models but some
BMW, Merc & Audi) are part of Otto as is (I believe) Laudo models which are all Italian models - Fiat & Alfa.

Its christmas, so I treated myself...

Le mans is turning out to be a bit of a theme, all 1/18, varying quality, but am ok with that for the money.

a Shelby Collectible Aston Martin

Norev Porsche 917

a Shelby gt40

Now just have to wait for them to turn up (and ensure the better half doesn't see them all at once)....
Continuing my Le mans theme.. this just arrived, think I am done for a while..
