Hannants have been going since the 1950s. I've been a regular customer of theirs since the 1970s.
The shop at Colindale tube station is now closed but they re-opened in an industrial unit on Grahame Park Way right beside the RAF Museum.

Their main store is in Lowestoft which is also their mail-order hub.

They mainly stock plastic kits but do stock everything in that medium (planes, ships, cars, bikes, military vehicles, space etc) . They don't do die-casts.

I bike past Hannants every day smile

Their main guy Tony is a PHer, and has a very nice Cerb.

Anyway...

I recently stopped in the model shop at Snetterton Circuit....OMG yikes it's bloody HUGE!

It has everything

Honestly

Everything

Some ridiculously expensive model cars in the £000s too....if you're ever that way, have a look.

Which is very handy when you have broken something on your RC car on the circuit(s) next to the shop!! But yes the shop is HUGE!

Evening all,

Thought it might be worth resurrecting and updating this thread.

Long shot, are there any new model shops worth a visit.

St.Martins in C.london seems to be the only place you can visit and buy static quality diecast models.

Cheers

p.s. Has anyone visited to MOTOLEGENDS in Guildford? They seem to be more like a warehouse but have alot of stock.

It's the same company.

Grandprixlegends, DiecastLegends, MotoLegends. They bought St Martins Lane model shop 3-4 years ago. (Around the time the excellent MotorBooks.co.uk round the corner folded frown ) Good few years ago, I did click n collect from them in Guildford. No problems at all. They also do annual "damaged" days. Some things are fit for the bin, but I've picked up a few bargains with them.
