I've been in the loft , 1/72 aircraft kits from the 70s
Discussion
Yes if you want to sell them the classified is the place
Ebay produces various effects, really rare models barely get a single bid the & ordinary bogstandard things go stupid
I sold a rare Frog Fairey Gannet @ 99p and an Airfix Mk 1 Spitfire for twelve quid or more (guess who was a: astonished and b: unable to remember how much he got)
I wish to hell I'd hung on to them now, I feel the bug gripping me again...

Eric , same applies, send me your address and make a donation to the air ambulance.
Thanks for the E mail dr. I will be posting out this week.
I've not decided which kit I'm going to tackle yet, preferably something I've worked on in the past. So after perusing the Scale Model section of this forum hopefully I will be less likely to make a complete hash up.

I´d have the 1/72 Revell ones off you! How much would you want? Purely for nostalgia, not resale of course.
Cheers,
Cheers,
I'll send you the Revell kits , P51D and PZL P -11c and you can pop a donation in to the air ambulance.
I think there.s a Revell Airacobra there as well.
I,d start wih a monoplane if I were you, maybe the Spitfire or Hurricane or one of the Monogram ones?
Cheers,
Dr.GN.

Some of the items you have there are quite desirable.
Those 1/72 Monogram kits are very good - even though they were first issued back in the 1960s. The Bearcat is a very nice model and goes together really well.
The old Revell kits are a bit variable. For example, the Revell P-51D is now very long in the tooth and would be more likely to appeal to someone who collects old kits rather than builds them

I picked up the FROG Spitfire VIII at my local model club a few months ago. As far as I know, the FROG Mk VIII, is the only mainstream injection moulded Spitfire VIII ever produced in 1/72. It comes with RAF or RAAF decals. It was one of FROG's last ever releases. They went bust a year or so later (1976).
I would avoid the old Revell kits as they are rather inaccurate, particularly the P-51D, although I love the box art.
The Monogram P-51B is a nice little kit, however.
I am pretty sure the Spitfire I model in the Heller box is a re-pop of the Airfix MkI - which is not bad either.

Thanks for the info. Eric. I shall have another rummage in the loft and hopefully find an aircraft I am more familiar with. Some of the items you have there are quite desirable.
