Fordson Major 1:16 model (chad valley)

Its a 1950's Fordson Major dies cast model made by Chad Valley. But the clockwork doesnt work and I want to try and fix it. However, I cant get into it can anyone help? The wheels are off, but the rear axle is held in by the clockwork spring on one side and the gears on the other, any ideas of how to remove these?
