It's the Revell 1/96 Saturn V with a completely scratchbuilt launch pad and tower. Up close, it actually wasn't that great - but it looked impressive from about 4 feet.

Brett Green of Hyperscale has posted a couple of video news reports on his website. I'm sure he'll add a few more as when he gets the time.

good pictures guys

Eric

by a small co-incidence to day I found a large chunk of my stash of "make em in the future" kits

including a P1127

and a Skua, Gannet, Jaguar and Hunter amongst many others.

don't know why I forgot them

I may have fun with the P1127

or should I cut the bulbous nose off the Airfix Cranberry and fit the vacform "better one"

I must have twenty or so unbuilt and in some cases kits with minor parts missing...

Thinking of popping across Brum to the IPMS branch meeting on Sunday if it's still on these days

([thinks]... pillock, you must be bloody barmy![/thinks]

Heritage do a resin B2/B6 nose - although it is aimed at the "new generation" 1/72 Canberra kits such as the Xtrakit PR9 or Airfix B(I)8.

AlleyCat models also do conversions and corrections for Canberras, both in 1/72 and 1/48. I've got their 1/48th TT-18 conversion set which is excellent.

It shows you just how good stealth technology is now, that initially I only saw the Horten 229... It was a bit of a WOAH moment.

My Father worked on a few Canberras in his time with the RAE. I think there was a chap there at the weekend who has since bought one of the actual planes my Father (and his Father) worked on.

As for the models, a few of my Father's are on permanent loan to the Canberra SIG - he carries out his own conversions.

Which leads me to my question. There was a gentlemen from Farnborough who asked my Father about the designs for the Dakota conversions he's created. I believe he gave my Father his card, which he has unfortunately lost. If anyone here knows who this was feel free to PM me details and I'll pass them on.

Could it be Eric... I believe he's from Farnborough?

Not me - I do live in Farnborough but I don't do cards.

It might not have been a card, maybe just details or email address. I'm sure you'd know if it were you. However, if you do happen upon the person it was, and is interested in the Dakota conversion, then you know where I am.

Can you recall what the conversion was?
