It's difficult to be as inclusive as possible - which it seems would allow anything - but may put off inexperienced modellers who may not think of themselves good enough to join in.

By laying a few rules to simplify the build and keep it low cost then we reduce barriers to entry and to a certain extent level the playing field, so it's a format I'm in favour of - certainly for the first one.

Eric mentioned decals. Personally I would be in favour of allowing after market items when it come to decals as we get the opportunity to see the same model finished in a number of different ways.

Not sure it's the same as say resin or PE where the idea is to improve - I know decals can improve but I see it more as a like for like alternative that offers choice.
