I voted the same,
A week Sounds good but then it needs to be decided (if it votes that way) what plane!

Yeah I know - and we'll need to give time for people to source and buy the kit - although this shouldn't take too long if we keep it to current kits. I'd see a start around the beginning of Feb.A week Sounds good but then it needs to be decided (if it votes that way) what plane!

If it is going to be purely a competition, then I'm not bothered about entering, but I'd be willing to pick a model that I think might be suitable for airbrushing and/or hand painting?A week Sounds good but then it needs to be decided (if it votes that way) what plane!

ETA or even say, 4 models, two of which would show airbrushing skill, the two other suitable for brush painting?

I could source and supply the kits at cost as long as that was the cheapest price. Revells pricing is all over the place.
Anyway the offer is there. If I can supply these at the lowest possible price I would be happy to do so
That's a great offer Jas, thanks. Once it's decided what we are going to do perhaps one of us (me?) could contact you through your profile?Anyway the offer is there. If I can supply these at the lowest possible price I would be happy to do so

If we're going for the same model (as the trend indicates) can we have another poll for the A/C type ASAP?
It's my birthday next week.
I was going to let this run for 1 week however as this is likely to be a small interest group I'm thinking that if we get 2 days with no votes we close it then? It's my birthday next week.
Or shall I leave it?
(Happy birthday for next week btw)

I suggest close this poll now, and let's move things along quickly by getting the actual model sorted. Any further votes are only likely to reinforce the established trend.
Who is going to offer up a shortlist?
I'll get the ball rolling - all Revell, all 1/72Who is going to offer up a shortlist?
P51B
P51D (very old kit)
Me262 (single seater)
Me 109G
Me109E (very old kit)
Hurricane MkII
Fw190A/R
Fw TL Flitzer (Vampire lookalike but never actually built)
These are all cheap kits (should all be sub £7).
I've avoided bi-planes to give newbies a chance.

Well on Eric's list it's nearly all German aircraft, or American ones, which I suppose one must expect from an Irishman.
The Hurricane II is preferred by me because it is British, has a Merlin, and also has lots of scope for many different brush-paintable colour schemes. Does the Revell kit come with those big tank-busting cannon?
