Hi,

I'm looking for a RC Aircraft, i have had a basic 4 channel beginner one in the past, which i could fly ok, however that was a few years ago.

I'm after a robust scale aircraft, with 2.4ghz controller good for a competent beginner, mainly for field use to a folding prop might be good?

I have looked at park-zone models with the spektrum controllers, i think these meet my needs however i would like a proper spektrum controller which i could use in future models.

Are there any kits including radio gear that will suit my needs?

Thanks

That is a pretty difficult one to answer.
How good are you? Where do you fly? It's difficult to buy a bad model nowadays.

Best bet is to by a copy of RCME from a newsagent or head on over to RCGroups and getting a feel for the hobby.

There are a hell of a lot of models to choose from for the intermediate pilot. I have a Spektrum DX7 and it is excellent but it's £250 and there are other cheaper makes that are better suited to the casual rc pilot.

If you want to take on the hobby seriously then I would recommend either joining a specialised RC forum and asking them or joining a local club.

Also I have found that building models from scratch is just as fun as flying them.

Most of the Parkzone models can come with the DX6i RFT option
Have a look at http://www.squadronleader.co.uk/ they list the wildcat and the corsair avialble with DX6i trannie. Wildcat is great good on grass as its got no wheels. Bit small, but mades a good model up from a trainer.
