I've a 1/72 Roden SE5A in my stash. I want to do it in the colours of Ireland's greatest air ace, Mick Mannock.

Yeah you asked if I was doing mine in his markings. The truth is the WW original decals are so damned good it seems a bit daft to buy aftermarket ones.

I'm a bit of a stuck recordsmile

WW seem to be churning out fantastic kits at an amazing production rate.

I'd quite happily build just those from now on. Shame they don't diversify a bit: How about inter-war stuff, think of all those shiny British biplane fighters....and an S6 maybe?

I think...

and have a think about this first

Yes they look bloody magnificent (really looking forrards to seeing your version of this) but I just can't imagine you not tackling something that needs brains and application as did the 109E.

You need a challenge as much as the next modeller or you just descend to "parts assembler" status.

Not your style, nor if I may be so bold, Eric and the others tackling this GB.

It's been fun watching all your efforts unfold.

Still look forward to seeing it when you finish smilethumbup

To be honest, I do look on myself as an assembler of kits rather than a true modeller. I struggle to complete even simple kits so getting completely bogged down in detailing or "accurizing" (ugh) would mean I'd never finish anything.
