Finished this one today for Britmodellers Vietnam GB. It's eventually going to be part of a large diorama, just have to sort the base out, build a large sampan, several other figures, VC in smaller boats plus some embankment.eek

I've finished the Sampan and a couple of other small boats along with some figures. Fair bit to go yet before I finish the whole project.

Worried now I've seen the sampan - you know what happens there.

Nice model Shar. Slightly off topic, Have you read "My Father My Son"? http://www.amazon.com/My-Father-Son-Elmo-Zumwalt/d...

Brilliant, but very sad, book about the brown water navy. Father ordered the use of Agent orange along the water-ways to prevent ambush of the PBs and his son was a PB commander who later died due to AO exposure related illness.

Will you building a monitor to go with it?

Rhinochopig, thanks, I haven't read the book, but I am interested in the BWN and their equipment. I won't be doing a monitor for this diorama, but I've got my eye on one and a Tango for another project.

Yertis, that is the scene I was going to depict, but have altered it slightly as I couldn't find a 1/35 dog. The dio has also grown somewhat since first inception, in that there will be some action happening on the riverbank as well as on the river itself.
