OK. I did spot a few S2000 kits today , but avoided it as i wish to concentrate on more obscure JDM cars.

Not sure what the story is behind the Dominie. Victim of the budget cuts would be my guess. Seems to be no place in any hangar for it yet. The same will apply to the Hercules and Nimrod when they arrive.

I think the Dominie was "end of service life" retired

I think I saw something about this recently, one of the earliest in service wasn't she?

Maybe we should have had a PH meet.

Inside the bomb bay of the Lincoln at two o'clock style thingy.

smile

maybe next year

had quite a nostalgic moment inside the cold War exhibit

This is where I sat on my first ever multi-engined fixed wing flight as a youngster in the ATC, back in August 1962. Where the extinguisher is positioned.

(no we didn't have to bale smile )

1hr 25 mins bimbling around southern England including a whizz over Lyneham and Salisbury Plain with a crap view

The Dominie was retired from RAF service a month or so ago. A number of examples have been flown to museums - but most will end up being scrapped I'm sure.

I should have remembered that one of the museum recipients was Cosford as I read about it in Aeroplane Monthly and Flypast last month.

I didn't see any S2000 kits until my pal pointed the one out that I bought! Then again I do tend to wander around these places in a daze.
