Just got a second set of alloys and need some dedicated track day Tyres. Can anyone advise which are the best. Have been recommended Toyo R888 but they were not fitted to a Clio so unsure what to go for.

R888s do fit a 200
Alternatively you could get Yoko AD08 which aren't a 'track tyre' as such but supposed to be good, or if you're feeling flush A048 which is a semi slick
There are some others, michelin cup sports iirc, but they're even more

Look in the classifieds on here, Motorsport parts for sale section, keep an eye out as you quite often get some bargains on used track rubber which is ideal if you've got a spare set of wheels to fit them on. I'll admit it's not quite the same but on my clio I got 5 trackdays use out of a pair of only just road legal R888's so don't be put off by ones that are close to or beyond the legal limit

There are some others, michelin cup sports iirc, but they're even more Like roy says AD08s are a good option, I've ran both the Yokos and R888s. Money no object the Toyos have phenominal grip however they don't last anywhere near as long, the AD08s will give 2/3rds of the same grip but last 4-5 times longer due to the amount of tread you get and they don't lay down rubber like the R888s. So if your wallets heavy get the R888s, if not get the AD08s with the knowledge you have a tyre that can stand up to similar punishment. The R888s are hilariously sticky though!

Always the Federal 595 RSR to consider. A more road friendly track day tyre. Reviews say that it has slightly less ultimate grip than the R888 however its lifespan makes up for this.
I have just fitted a set to my RS182 and I'm mighty impressed having run A048's on the road also. Stiff side walls and they seem to heat up quickly no wet experience yet. Most importantly, they were very well priced from mytyres.com.

Ran a set of R888's on my last 11 turbo for track and they were excellent, just make sure you go for the harder compund ones as supersoft really dont last long at all
