Even cheaper now then wink
We'll see what the damage is but I'm feeling like walking away, tbh.

Sounds a bit iffy to me. Wonderful cars though, owned a "gold" one in the late 90's.

TX.

He seems like a genuine guy, retired, wife's a teacher. I doubt he'd try this on for a £200 deposit, which I'm going to demand back in any case.

No damage, found about 1/8 mile away with rear wheel removed...picked it up this lunchtime and it's pretty good. Couple of small things to be looked into but overall, I'm happy. Did 50 miles today of varying surfaces and road types, some urban ste, performed impeccably. Weird driving a manual after 2 years of autobox luxobarging.

Needs a proper clean and polish, but not bad looking either...

Looks like a china blue one, great colour when all clean and polished.

Well what reg is it?

If it has frosted headlights and the rub-strips down the sides are more square-edged then it's likely a phase 2 and will be Nile Blue. These stopped in 1998 I believe, so anything V-plate onwards should be China Blue (but stranger things have happened...)
Nope, I have a PH3, def Nile Blue smile

V, and a 2.5/3 on a T, both Nile! Wasn't too keen to begin with but I much prefer it now, doesn't get quite so obviously dirty!

Good to see some of the 306GTi-6.com lot here :P

Nice car, Identical to my own (mines a T though, early P3 (But not 2.5)) smile

Plenty of very well thought out upgrades for these.

Namely:

Solid Billet crank pulleys (Removes risk of the rubber on the standard one fitting and are half the weight)
Lightened Billet flywheels like 3kg or more lighter than standard.
PTFE gaskets that prevent the inlet from heating up and therefore providing cooler air.
Solid rear mounts (Remove loos and rear wheel steer)
The list goes on.........
Its a bit of a bug though so you've been warned smile

You'll be seeing it intimately soon, Carl. It was me who e-mailed you recently for a cambelt kit quote and there's a couple other things I want you to look at. Get paid on the 15th so I'll be in touch soon after. I passed your place today as it happens. Were you one of the bunch stood outside? (about 16.00)

I would like to say not, I was in the garage spannering away but more than likely stood chatting at the door possibly? Just pop in or drop us a line when you are ready.

Cheers.
