So basically you're admitting the poll is not representative of all owners of the car and so is not a reliable or valid source. Thanks.
Odd how you continue to use it though.
Nope, just stating your numbers are complete tosh. Odd how you continue to use it though.
I guess you must take anonymous internet product reviews at face value too.

And yet still you have nothing better to offer, if you think the poll is in any way statistically representative you're a moron.

I thought the self-appointed ‘Troll Hunter’ might be sophisticated enough not to have to revert to personal insults. I guess you must take anonymous internet product reviews at face value too.

One thing is for sure, from the Clio197.net forum, regardless of percentages, those declared 71 gearbox replacements from just that active owners forum poll is very, very significant.

Significant enough to only account for 1.1% of all vehicles sold?
Again you're going to need to go into more detail beyond simply stating something is 'significant' for it to be actually be significant. Believe it or not your opinion does not make fact, although you're delusional attitude might fool you into believing it is. You love those facts so provide some.

People can make up there own mind if 71 gearbox failures and 41 pages of heavy Clio197.net gearbox failure discussion since Sept 2011 is significant or not. I’ll stick with very, very significant.
Your 1.1% number has already been debunked and where does that moron definition of yours sit if you use those forum results? Own goal.
By the way, we are still waiting for you to back up your claim post 2010 gearboxes are modified. You made it. Back it up.

And yet no actual evidence to back that claim up.Technomatt said:

Debunked by a person on the internet claiming to understand the statistical validity of an internet forum poll.Technomatt said:

I have, again I'm not repeating myself just because of your poor memory.GrumpyTwig said:

It's always going to be difficult to repeat something that has never been declared.Anyway, keeping it on topic.....how is that replacement gearbox of yours going?
One would assume going through that process was a significant ownership event.

Anyway, keeping it on topic Matt - Why the hell do you care? What is your agenda? Why have you got a bug up your arse over a CAR THAT YOU DON'T EVEN OWN?Anyway, keeping it on topic.....how is that replacement gearbox of yours going?

Try and answer the question this time.

Anyway, back on topic....
I found this thread and just look at some of the PH usernames having a good old go about 197/200 gearbox issues:

Hypocritical tendancies in action.

IIRC you did bail out after a slightly embarrassing pitch about how superior your Clio 200 was to some significantly better track honed machinery.
Thanks for reminding everyone what an amazing car the RenaultSport Clio 200 is. Technomatt said:

He never specified the type/model of Elise so your comparison is invalid.
I'm trying to think of any Elise that might be slower road a track than a Clio 200 Cup. Better to just summarise and say any comparision is valid.
