Hi All

Bit of an unusual question - I have a 1997 Peugeot 406 V6 saloon, which I have owned since 2004. Well equipped with leather, air con, CD changer, etc.
I took it off the road 5yrs ago, but didn't want to part with it at the time - long term goal was to put it back on the road at some point having spent a bit of money where needed - so it has been SORN'd ever since. Its had an oil and filter change, and new battery and starts and runs absolutely fine.
Now I appreciate that it will need a full service and MOT, and in all likelihood some money spending on it to get it roadworthy again, but due to other financial commitments, moving house, etc, I'm not going to have the time to do it.
I'm therefore thinking of parting with it, but in my opinion its far too good (and even quite rare) to think about scrapping.
Apart from the usual Ebay / Auto Trader, etc, is anyone likely to be interested?

Appreciate any thoughts.

They are a gorgeous old Peugeot limo,I`m sure someone would love it??
Rather than EBay & Autotrader I would go to the more specialist classic and Peugeot sites where you will find genuine enthusiasts. Always remember though no matter what never let the car out of your site unless the cash is in your hands.
You can advertise it free on www.carsandclassics.co.uk or www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk
Or try some of the Peugeot clubs & forums? www.clubpeugeotuk.org or www.peugeotforums.com

Thanks for the tips & the links. Fantastic car and engine but just thinking it could be time to let someone have it that will have the time to appreciate it.

TBH that could be tricky to shift for sensible money. Most buyers seem to want small French cars or big German cars these days. Best of luck with it though.

I don't' mean to sound harsh, just realistic but you have a 17 year old french saloon car with a big petrol engine and no MoT which has been sitting for 5 years - effectively a non-runner. I can't see it being worth much at all.

I think you may have mis-read my post. Not sure I've asked anywhere what it's worth, but more where to advertise it and who could be interested in it, as I feel it's too good to scrap. I'm not expecting vast amounts of money, but more passing it onto someone who may appreciate it.

TBH without an MOT a car of that age doesn't have much hope of finding a buyer at all.
