As above, I hope that you can help?

The "Mrs" car 1.4 quicksilver 206.

When we first bought the car (100K)it ran fine and didn't appear to have a misfire. We then noticed an oil leak so took it back to said garage to have it repaired under warranty. To which the head was skimmed, new gaskets and timing belt. Got the car back and it seems to run fine for a short while. Then it runs like a bag of st!! My mechanic (father) replaces coil pack and plugs and the car will now run but doesn't seem to be running the best. It cuts out randomly and won't hold a steady idle (always having to rev). Dad seems to think the issue is Air mass flow valve. Is this correct?? Anyone had any issues like this previously??

Thanks in advance

Does it cut out when idling or during cruising? If the former, the Idle Air Control Valve is where I would start from.
