Hi all.

hopefully someone could give me a helping hand. I currently own a 2005 (54) Peugeot 206 1.6 HDi GTi

Firstly I have a problem with keeping it cool. If I am travelling along its perfect. As I hit traffic or the car is stationary for over 5 minutes, the temp gauge starts to slowly rise up.

The fans don't kick in at all, if I turn the air-con on this also fails to start the fan turning. I'm under the impression after reading online that the fan temp sensors are prone to road dirt, grit etc and they fail after time or could be a fan switch? I've never let it get above the 100 mark (although it probably will continue to the top after a little while if i leave it) if I turn the heating on full whack, it comes back down. Heaters work fine.

Now forgive me for being a complete retard but where the hell is the temp sensor & fan switch? Google found lots of videos etc for the 2.0 HDi engine, some for the 1.4 HDI but none for the 1.6 HDI

The second issue is not really an issue, more of a question.

The car has been remapped, K&N Panel Filter, EGR delete, DPF Removed and has a full exhaust system. On the MAF there are two large plugs (one each side) Right side is plugged in, other unplugged. If I plug the left side back in when warm, the engine changes note and the exhaust sounds louder, it also smokes like hell but runs fine. But when cold it runs like a bag of crap and hunts/stalls itself.

Would this be because its been mapped out or because its broken? (Previous owner telling me pork pies) The car runs fine with the left side unplugged.

Third and final question is this;

From the right hand side of turbo is large plastic pipe, this goes up and along the left hand side of the engine to the air filter housing. Just as it meets the engine block from the front of the car is a little plastic pipe that goes into the head of the engine. This leaks like HELL if I drive the car hard! Whats it called as I cant put my finger on the name of the part? Also any other reason for it leaking than it being brittle and slightly broken haha

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
