205 GTi meet in Sochaux this Sunday.

Is anyone attending this? I'm tempted to make the trip down as I'd like to go to the factory and think it would be fun.

I went, I had an excellent weekend of driving around France in my 205. I drove down to Troyes on Saturday evening then onto Sochaux for Sunday.

I was the 276th car to arrive and as far as I'm aware the only English. Much to my embarrassment they led me to the front of the museum and had me park there. I guess having the wheel on the wrong side and mph on the speedo my fly covered 205 got quite a lot on interest. I even got interviewed for a classic car magazine.

After that I headed up to Metz, found a bar to watch Man United get back to winning ways and had a couple of beers. The next morning I headed over to Reims, had a lovely steak for lunch, took the obligatory photos at the circuit and headed back to Calais.

It was nice to spend time with my 205!

Sounds like a good trip. Troyes is a lovely town, my family come from there.
