Any pistonheads own a Citroen Picasso?

Because I've yet to seen one that hasn't done a Picasso on itself and removed it’s left ‘ear view mirror.

Any other good contenders for 'definitely not owned by someone who has the slightest interest in cars?'

I have one at the moment

but then I'm a trader and it's just passing through (managed to move a 3 bedroom house worth of stuff and a workshop complete with engine crane, an engine, etc in the back of it!)

Not quite but nearly. Picassos are for people who really honestly don't give a st about cars.

Golfs are for people who like to pretend they don't give a st but are actually seriously anally retentive about cars.

I bought one at back in feb. £250 2.0HDI with 220,000 miles on it, but long MOT and a bit of tax. Gave it a clean up. Did what i needed it for for a month, and sold it for £550.

Nothing wrong with a Picasso as a tool for the job they are excellent. Can be picked up for buttons too. Wouldn't mind a bora bora green one tbh.

My step-mum had one and adored it. Most hateful car I've ever been a passenger in, unfathomably uncomfortable in the back.

She replaced it with a free Toyota Starlet 1.3 auto..

Back? I can't even remember where I've left the back seats from mine, I've been using it as a van for so long

Any major weak points on these? I'm semi tempted to buy one for the missus as a general runabout and tip car.

I'm interested in cars but she couldn't care less and I think a cheap MPV for her and the kids would be more cost effective than spending alot more on something that is only going to get abused anyway.

Thoughts?

Lower engine mount goes on the petrol models (but I believe it's an easy fix and was actually a recall at one point - must look into this further because the one I have atm is clunking like hell), driveshafts (cheap as chips on eBay)

Perfect car for the missus that doesn't care about cars. Apparently Citroen make twice as many body panels as they do cars to account for the missus factor.

There’s something weirdly alluring about the boggo Picasso with all the trims missing, dings etc. in a dull colour that I see on a client site every day. Complete and utter family hack and the antithesis of car ownership (to us) yet it mesmerises me somewhat and I don’t know why…

Always said if I won the lottery I’d have nice metal but also a K10 or K11 Micra in boggo form to pootle about in.

Old Citoren MPVs make brilliant sheds.

My Berlingo is permanently grubby, has peeling lacquer that looks like some hideous skin disease and a dent or scrape on almost every panel. Mrs JS has kerbed it so often I'll soon be able to go down a tyre size on the nearside wheels and dispite being generally neglected and abused I just know it will start on a freezing morning at 4am, politely sip diesel no matter how hard you spank it and will get where you need to be in surprising comfort.

Very liberating. I love it

Not just women. I used to drive a Scenic without one panel that wasn't marked or dented in some way. I hated that thing.
