This has been on my mind for about the last week or so.

I have a Twingo RS, great fun, many many smiles per gallon.

What I wonder is, why on earth no one buys Renault Winds with the same engine. I'm 99.998% sure it's the same chassis, without the cup suspension package, same engine...

Are we all just waiting for prices to plummet to ~2-3k so it can start competing with the other finest cars a hairdresser can drive, think MX-5, MR2 etc... Or is there genuinely something rubbish about these?

Right now you can pay circa £5k for one with 20k miles, in great condition, is that a bargain or what's the deal?

The Wind wobbles and rattles and drives nothing like a Twingo RS

It's called a wind. That was probably the worst marketing move for a while in Renaults long history of bad ideas and sealed it's fate before anybody decided if it was any good. "Ah, you drive a Renault Fart?"

It also looks like it's been involved in quite a serious accident.

I really like them, but as Carl said, i've heard from an owner they're nowhere near as good as a Twingo RS
