Hi all, have a problem with a Clio DCI, the glow plug light was coming on and off and now it's on all the time. The idle is higher with it on and the power seems down and it's not running as smoothly as it should.
Tried pulling the Relays but hasn't made any difference.
Any ideas ??

i had similar problem and it turned out to be the injectors as the coil light is for both the injectors and the glowplugs the thing with the 1.5 dci is the fuel pump breaks down and causes tiny metal shards to go around the fuel system which is mega ££££ to sort out as all the system as got to be changed, if i was you id either take the injectors out get them sent away for metal fiber testing just to be on safe side, or take it to someone that can do it for you, but remember all injectors are coded so if i was you i would right the codes down of the injectors as you pull them out and from what port they was from, hope this helps

ive got similar problems with my clio with things not working lol think we should just get rid way to many probs with them, does yours have sunroof i know that there are lots of probs with the ones with sun roofs as water leaks in and str8 down the A frame of the car into the electrics which causes havoc to everything

No glass sunroof in mine ( very fortunately ) as it's a base model DCI 65, but I had an 80hp one with the sunroof. I wasn't aware of the water issue down into the A Post / electrics.

Is there a wiring diagram available ?

If the speed signal is out the P/S may be perm on low assistance ? IF that is the P/S is speed sensative?
What i'd do is clear the codes and see what comes back as some may be old fault codes, not easy without your own reader i will admit frown

Try the throttle pedal,I seem to remember having problems with one of these a few years ago.I think the cure was to pull the pedal about, side to side as well as up and down,I think they come out of alignment and can be clicked back into place
