£1200 lighter and i'm now the owner of a 2003 metallic blue clio cup.

Cambelt was done 5000 miles back, gearbox mounts seem fine (no knocking in 1st 2nd gear) , clutch seems fine.

Has a massive folder of bills so will have a good look thru tomorrow when i pick it up.

First job is get the exhaust changed, fk me it's loud.

Has the previous owner put a Ktec system on it or something? If it's a Yozza system then they still fetch good money second hand.

Love a nice clean Modial Blue Cup! Get some pics up.

Not sure, I'd just get a new one from Adam at Wolves Renault. Find him on Cliosport, his prices are amazing.

My son had one for a while, I drove it the 30 miles home, didn't want to give it to him, and, I couldn't get the grin off my face, absolutely brilliant drivers car in all respects. Hope you enjoy it.

Grrr no bill for cambelt change.

On the plus side there's a bill for £700 worth if kw coilovers and £400 worth of brake upgrades.

Belts are expensive - budget £900 or so for this should you need to do it earlier than you first expected!

That's very cheap - where at if you don't mind me asking?
Many are notably more than that. The parts alone come to about £300 IIRC if you opt for genuine Renault ones. Sounds like it has some good mods and should be a good car smile

In Glastonbury, chap on here from Devon travels to use him and he was who everyone on cliosport forum said to use in the south west.

Can anyone explain what's involved with swopping my coilovers back to standard cup suspension?

Is it just get the cup shocks and some cup/eibach springs or is there more to it than that?

as above, it was an option, just like you can get them in iceberg silver or whatever it is called.
anyway, cambelt is cheap on a cup, think i paid around 350 for aux, cam and water pump, oil change at rentech.

Just had mine done for just over £600 on my Trophy, Diamond Renault in Long Eaton. They do a good job, it is worth making sure the place that you select to do the work know what they are doing with 172/182 engines, it is a really easy job to get wrong.

Sortedish, steering pumps leaking, clutch release thrust bearing grumbly and kw coilovers are no longer adjustable.

Still fun though, just need to work thru the above starting with the bits that willl fail the mot in oct.
