It's sooo much easier to live with than the Clio apart from reversing it into the garage as you just can't see the arse at all! Not as much fun to hammer down a B road but maybe that just takes getting used to and the rest of the time it's a much nicer place to be and a bit more grown up. Kinda wanted a 5 door as three doors does get annoying but they seem really rare in decent condition. Does yours have the cup pack?

Managed to get a less rubbish picture of mine too

Hi yes it has the cup pack , took me a while to find this one low milage really good nic , I had a good drive out in mine today after the England game , forgot what a great car it is handles so well you really can go round corners at silly speeds . Even compared to my caterham it's really good , corners so flat and precise, love it . I don't even have issues with the gearbox as some people . One criticism could be the ride quality on some roads it's a bit bumpy but I forgive it instantly when I've buried my right foot , I think tyre choice has made a big difference I put Michelin ps4 on the front massive improvement on the dunlops and gets the power down much better now even without an lsd , shame they don't make a 5 door in the newer shape as I reckon I would have to invest in one , great car

They are a bit of a bargain for what you get. I do prefer the phase 2 shape of yours but couldn't find many good ones when I was looking and got impatient! When we test drove it the cup pack did worry me as my missus hated the Clio (it was like a skateboard) but have found it a lot more forgiving most of the time. Engine is lovely, doesn't feel like an old fashioned Turbo of old as it's so smooth. It's just a shame the roads are so rubbish really.

Bizarrely it has blue seatbelts, stitching and seat centres as Renault decided Trophy = Blue for a while so it does actually match laugh

Suddenly doing lots of miles so decided on glass convertible with a million airbags.
Would have preferred that metallic blue but none were available or cheap enough.

nice ^. Only thing I didn't like with my old 207 was the overly light controls. Perhaps they feel a bit meatier on the GTI..

Bought this old Saf a couple of weeks back. Shed money, just 53k from new , pretty mint all round for the age. Everything works air-con is ice cold. Very comfy and better in the corners than I thought it would be. 2.5 RXE so its fully loaded. Volvo lump is smooth but lacks the torque to make progress anything but sedate. First 600 miles suggest 35 mpg will be as good as it gets on a motorway run, dropping to mid 20's round town. Makes a nice foil to my 80's Renault sportsters :0).

Was this the one for sale at some stupidly cheap price like 580 quid or something?
